Your current passport should still be valid. How do you know it stands 'Canceled' if you haven't received the new passport?Hi everyone,
I received ITA a month back. I am in process of submitting my application. However, since my passport was getting expired in less than 6 months, I choose to renew it to avoid any complications while my application is being processed. I still have a month to submit my application. But at the time of writing this message, I am yet to received my new passport (my current passport stands cancelled).
1) I would like to know If I could submit my PR application with my current "expired passport" just in case I don't receive my new passport before my ITA gets expired and inform IRCC once I receive my new passport through web form?.
2) I have PCC issued on my current "cancelled passport" which is valid for good 3 months from now. Will this PCC meet the eligibility criteria or I need to apply a fresh one which would be issued against my yet to come new passport?
I would appreciate if experts or anyone familiar with such case could help me resolve this issue, thanks in advance.

Yes, you can count 50 points if a provincial certification.Guys, there are 2 types of certificates of qualification in canada ( Red seal and Provincial ), on the CRS calculator page it said that having a certifiacte of qualification gives 50 points in the express entry
Now my question is that if I get a provincial certificate of qualification in one of the skilled trades will I get the 50 points?
The CRS calculatwr web page doesn't say anything about that, it just says , ( any certificate of qualification) that's why I am asking
If you are married, even in not accompanying, you need to provide proof of marriage. Your spouse needs to undergo a medical too. Have you submitted a profile or you have received ITA?Hello people I have a question...
If I intend to apply for express entry but my spouse will not accompany me to Canada (when I get accepted iA), will I still be asked for the marriage certificate proving we are married?
Looking forward to your responses.
Appreciate your response. If you are married, even in not accompanying, you need to provide proof of marriage. Your spouse needs to undergo a medical too. Have you submitted a profile or you have received ITA?
Yes. She has to still undergo medical/police checks and you show proof of funds for the number of people in your family. Even though accompanying, IRCC assumes that she will immigrate to Canada at some point.Appreciate your response.
No I have not even created an express entry pool yet. I got my ECA done a few weeks ago and will do my IELTS next month, after that I will apply. Anyway, you mean even if my wife will not accompany me she has to do the physical exam? what's the rationale behind that?
wow I had no idea. Thanks for the useful information.Yes. She has to still undergo medical/police checks and you show proof of funds for the number of people in your family. Even though accompanying, IRCC assumes that she will immigrate to Canada at some point.
What is your eligibility score? CRS?
I have applied for permanent residence. My spouse or partner and children are not coming with me. Do they need to get a medical exam? (cic.gc.ca)
Your score may increase if she completes ECA and IELTS depending on your score. Also may help you become elgible for EE if points under 67.wow I had no idea. Thanks for the useful information.
