Yeah, thats what I thought too, but apparently they added the NOCs also.

https://www.ontario.ca/page/2022-ontario-immigrant-nominee-program-updates

Go to update June 28, 2022 and read it.
That's unfortunate. Now I am only eligible for FSW, so chances of ITA are drastically reduced.

I know people from this very forum who got lucky enough to get their ITAs with unrelated professions and significantly worse english scores which got them under the score cap. I wonder how this is considered fair or even valuable from Canada's perspective.

You need to pray to the RNG god to be selected by OINP. @dankboi did that by posting dank memes.

No, I am not eligible. That was the whole point of those posts.
That's why you should pray, your NOC might be included in the next draw by the blessing of RNG god.

On a serious note, I am pretty sure that OINP never limited French draws to specific NOC's before but they did this time. OINP has become completely random.

No it won't. It is not specific enough to be included for PNP. Never has been, never will be. Current work exp is not "continuous" and less than one year, so can't include it.

Brilliant, you gotta admire the guile of the brains behind the immigration system into this nation. Despite the fact that the average immigrant are destined to get a shitty deal moving into an expensive country with an inhospitable climate and an economy the size of a walnut, they can still get people to turn on each other!

It's amazing how smart people are still struggling to figure out that Canada doesn't give a dick about your skills and talent. Their system is designed to funnel in a certain number of immigrants each year with some money to burn through. Some of them will fall away with more dunces to take their place

I haven't turned on anyone. I have always been critical of TR2PR dumbasses and low score CECs. That hasn't changed. I have nothing against the people who got lucky with PNP or CECs with decent scores. Good for them.

And I couldn't care less what Canada does with its economy, my financial stability is independent of Canada. Next, I have said this multiple times, but once I get my Canadian passport, I'm out. The country has value (for now) because of its proximity to the US. But the US empire is bound to collapse within our lifetime. So none of this really matters. Regardless, while their passport is valuable, I'll get myself one and deal with the rest as it comes.

Also, since when is a little cold is suddenly "inhospitable"? That would actually be hilarious if it weren't so sad.

Our orwell guy here hasn’t been in the top countries that people immigrate from. :D Canada might be “a joke” in some ways but a few other places will blow his mind.

Maybe people will think about this more if immigrating to Canada was easy and you can decide to do it anytime you fancy. It was difficult before and now it is near impossible unless you are the perfect candidate to get near 600 score.

You cannnot expect people to not pursue immigrating to Canada just because they read some rambling online on how bad life can get there. If their situation turns out as bad as you say, maybe they will just take the passport and leave like @mushymush said.

I have had enough of potential/imminent immigrants shitting on Canada.
Canada is a developing country, but you know what it does have? A minimum goddamn wage. Yes some or even most will end up doing jobs they don't like, but they'll still be affording a decent life style. The taxes are high, yes they are that's the cost, I guess for leaving your shitty country and getting a goddamn G7 nation's passport. Canada at least before the Pandemic had the most affordable immigration plans out there. Even if you come to study first, depending on what you study it will most probably end up cheaper than buying a little-known nation's passport.

Canada has the best immigration system out there. In 30 or so years, the country will be full of all kinds of skilled, English-speaking workers needed to have a flourishing economy. Even the low income class will be decently educated. This passport in 3 years is at the cost of living with the compromises that Canada is right now, or else EU countries would've offered Passports left and right too.

And Jobs! God people who speak like getting a PR or the Passport should come with the guarantee of a good well paying job are freaking unbelievable. Bruv, you are migrating to a pseudo-developing country. You're gonna have to compromise, you're gonna have to settle.

And here is a possible solution. You know what else the PR gets you? The right to own, start and run your own business. Try doing that. There's a tonne of people in Canada already, and these people will always need something you can provide with a profit margin.
Canada needs Businesses, small, medium and large to create more jobs. Think about starting a business while cribbing about the high taxes.

This immigration system is most thoughtful and caring of them all, but it isn't charitable or without strings. Please look into the variety of advantages and opportunities too while you crib and complain.

A little personal background: I'm from India. My father was piss poor and migrated to Saudi Arabia as an oil field labor. He stuck it out and started a business in Saudi, a completely unknown, new, racist, hostile, anti-immigrant, derogatory country towards SEA expats. I have a job here and it's the worst experience of my life coz of absolute non-utility of my skills and education, combined with a general racism against Indians in terms of pay and the jjobs you can do. Saudi is an insanely rich country, and the companies here recruit labors and workers en masse from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh for a pittance! I can go on and on. I grew up here, I wanted to make a difference to Saudi's economy/my unofficial home country. But they clearly don't need me or my contributions so I am going to be diverting my effort to improving Canada.
I am not complaining about Saudi, it has been very nice to me and my family. I am keeping my head down and working to improve my life wherever I am or will be. And I will forever be grateful to Canada. It gave me what a place where I was born and grew up never did: A permanent home.

this made me remember when I was working at Walmart here. I was new there so I didn’t know where everything was and this lady came asking me where was the sloppy joes. I didn’t know so I went to ask someone stocking(who was a visible minority) and he didn’t know either. The lady(white Karen like) started yelling “well of course he doesn’t know, look at him, he probably never had a sloppy joe in his life.” So yeah.

also, about the racism on hiring, this was just from my orientation, but they hired 8 people, 4 whites went to customer experience, 3 Indians were put outside view(either deli or cart pusher) and the one Asian guy was put on self checkout assistance (basically tech services lol). It was so blatant that I laughed after.
The true question here is : what's a sloppy Joe?

Seems i also never had one...

Man now people will be mad at me ,but let me explain you what happened in my previous company. Our previous director was a lesbian ,manager lesbian, everyone except 1 manager and me were woman in the management staff. They never wanted to hire me but merit was so strong and my manager wanted to hire me otherwise that would have also been a woman 18/20 staff in a warehouse management woman ,didn't you see any irony in that. They tried to fire me in all possible ways ,eventually they got fired because of corporate complaints from associates.
He just saved my time I dodged a bullet that is how I see it if not this another company. That's it.If this many people made in canada, I am going to make it what ever it takes .
Today I just applied for another 50 positions that's it.
A winner is someone who just refuse to give up.
Today my friend reminded me
"Nothing in your life came easy job, immigration, relationship, friends....in the beginning but some way or the other you overcame all difficulties "

I am giving him a benefit of doubt also he was french from france ,I don't think he was that good at english, so I am not sure he really meant what he said ,even if he meant I just Don't care,I am sure he is not going to hire me but imagine he hires someone whe he can't stand. He said this when the HR was present and that too the hr was indian lol.So he might not know what he said,or he might be too stupid to say that.
Also .. "political aspects" may not be a nefarious thing altogether. Some companies have targets of DEI hiring, or hiring veterans or in Canada hiring people from indigenous communities. These are internal targets and not set in stone but if possible they will try to hire a candidate from those background. If it is a DEI hiring you do have a chance being from a different ethnic background.

I think you may be correct. It could have been a case of he not using the correct English phrase.
