Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi All,

I am currently working on a post graduation work permit. I got an offer from a Canadian company. Will this be considered as AEO? If yes, will it make my process faster? My status is in my signature.

Thanks,

Thanks,
For arranged employment opinion (AEO), your employer has to apply and is should be approved by HRSDC. Then your employer will give you one copy of AEO which is to be enclosed with your initial application to be sent to CIO, NS.

hellovn -

If your employer gets the AEO from HRSDC, I don't know how much faster the processing will be, but you will qualify as Cat 2 - that will help you if proof of funds is an issue.

natali - the OP is on a PGWP, not a TWP. As the website states,

"In addition:

* your work permit must have been confirmed by Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC) through a positive labour market opinion or
* you must be in a category that is exempt from an Arranged Employment Opinion

in order for your offer of employment to be valid."

We don't actually know whether it is exempt because we don't know what the NOC is, citizenship, etc, but those exemptions are relatively rare. So I understand that to mean that because she is on a PGWP, her work permit is not confirmed through an LMO, so she would not qualify - please correct me if I'm wrong!

As well, it is not clear, but it sounds like the job offer is from a different employer (not the current employer). If that is true, the job offer requires an AEO.

Hi jes_ON,

Currently I am working as a contract work for three months only, however, I will work as a full-time permanent worker at the end of this month. I read some instructions about AEO and totally get lost.

In addition, my status is "received by visa office", I don't know if my application will be processed faster if I send my new job offer.

Thanks for your help!

P/S: please call me "he" not "she"

I don't know that there is any evidence that a Cat 2 will be processed faster than a Cat 3. But you are supposed to update your application in the event of important changes - e.g. new employment.

It WILL give you more points, but that's probably not a concern.

It cannot hurt your application, you should definitely send it, but it probably will not change category or processing time.

And sorry about the gender, was trying to make it gender-neutral (not knowing you) but I guess I missed a few pronouns :)
