so another delay....not too sure what to make of this.

I rec'd a request to pay the PR fees back in March. I paid the fees online and sent the confirmation recpt via Fed Ex to the address indicated.
So its been 6 weeks and I was hoping to hear something from CIC since I have already passed the IA portion.
I found my Fedex recpt and looked it up online. No info. chatted with an agent that says sorry it was undeliverable and we returned it to you.
I have no knowledge of this. Its been 6 weeks..what happens now to my case?

Hey Kaz,
I had a receipt from that I downloaded from the transaction that also had my receipt on it. That was included on the application at the time, my wife and I downloaded it for our records. I am not sure but maybe a case specific enquiry with the receipt may help.

We are on similar timelines as my application was received on the same day as you. I also paid my application fee at the same time as I applied. Still no news, even though I have received the IA close to 1 month ago. I was hoping to see some movement by now. I am still hoping that I get the PPR soon, but hang in there as I feel your pain....

One more question, from previous posts it says that if you paid your fees, then by looking them up by your receipt number you can see if they were processed. Does anyone know if this is the case? Also, I wonder if this is still the case with the new computer system which it seems like they have not fully adjusted to because of the speed of everyone's progress. I think something happened about 2-3 weeks ago, and things just seemed to really slow down. Not much news to report for anyone in group...

Hi Friends, I received communication from my Attorney that the Visa office in Trinidad is requesting additional info for my son. I am the sponsor sponsoring my wife who is going thru Buffalo and my son who lives in Barbados The letter states that they need my sons original birth certificate proof that i intend to return to Canada to live. Both of those were sent to Mississauga with our application I am a Canadian Citizen and a permanent resident of the USA and have residences in both countries along with Bank accounts in both countries I had done the option C letter with the sponsorship application

Should I file Taxes for Canada for last year 2010 I did not work there but have a residence there I filed taxes with my spouse in the USA.

The spreadsheet has the timelines for my spouse who is going thru Buffalo but not my son who is going thru Port of Spain. both have the same timelines the additional information letter was dated April 6th 2011 but received May 4th we have 60 days from the date of the letter to respond.

HI, IM JUST NEW HERE AND JUST READ SOME OF THE POST. I AM JUST A BIT CONFUSED ABOUT THE PROCESSING TIME BECAUSE MY FRIEND ALREADY RECEIVED HER VISA ON APRIL 7 AND WE HAVE ALMOST THE SAME DATE OF SUBMISSION, SHE IS JUST AHEAD OF TWO DAYS.

TIME LINE:
DEC 2: SENT THE APPLICATION
JAN 25: DM
JAN 18: RECEIVED APPLICATION
FEB 28: PASSPORT SENT
MARCH 18: ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS SENT
APRIL&MAY: STILL WAITING............................................................

I JUST WONDER HOW MANY MORE DAYS DO WE HAVE TO WAIT BEFORE THEY'RE GONNA SEND THE VISA AND WILL THERE BE ANY UPDATE ON ECAS BEFORE THEY SEND IT OR WILL THEY SEND IT FIRST BEFORE THE UPDATE COZ UNTIL NOW I DONT SEE ANY CHANGES ON ECAS.

HOPE SOMEONE COULD GIVE ME A BIT OF INFORMATION REGARDING THIS MATTER..

Now I'm worried. I emailed Detroit to let them know about hubby's new address. The instructions from the Buffalo "we've transferred your file" email said not to use eCas for it due to the transfer. Detroit replied that they do not have our paperwork

Well at least you got a message from Detroit I emailed the consulate in NYC and never got any answer.
Also looks like this change in the computer system is not only happening in Buffalo but in all offices in the US !
This is true bad luck. Our files arrived at Buffalo at the exact time they were starting this process !
A couple weeks earlier and we may have saved quite a few months !!!

Romain - I'm so sorry to hear that NYC is unresponsive thus far. Perhaps they are waiting until your information is on their database before saying anything. Amen @couple of weeks earlier! Wish I could have gotten that crystal ball to work then ;-)

I want to congratulate all who've received positive updates in their processing, and wish others similar news. After many months of suspense I finally saw a change to our online application status... It is now In Process!! Vienna started processing my application on April 28th 2011.
