Questions about employment in Canada via Express Entry and Job Bank

Hello,

I have registered for Express Entry since March 30 and I have some questions regarding job searching through the Job Bank and the Express Entry system:
  1. In the event that I land a job and, thanks to it and the Express Entry system, I have the opportunity to settle in Canada: what happens if, once there, I lose my job, for example in the event of the company's bankruptcy or layoff?
  2. So far (since March 30), I have applied for 27 offers but have not received any response, neither negative nor positive. Is this normal?
  3. Regarding my contact information, I always indicate it in the following manner:
    First Name Last Name
    Address
    Brussels (Belgium)
    011-32-479123456
    FirstNameLastName@***.com
Is this structured correctly? I always indicate my phone number as it should be dialed from Canada (in this hypothetical example above it's would be 011-32-479123456 if in my country (belgium) my original number would be 0479123456 or +32479123456) ?

  1. Nothing
  2. Normal
  3. +32479123456 format would be more readable.
Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my questions so quickly.
If I may ask another question, do you happen to know approximately how long it usually takes to receive a response after applying for a job offer through the Job Bank ?
Or in the worst case: after how long can I asume that my application has been rejected ?
Understanding the expected timeline could really help me manage my expectations and plan accordingly.

Thanks again

Honest answer?

Most employers won't respond at all. People submit hundreds of applications and never hear back.

Do not rely on a job offer from Job Bank to get PR. Most likely the job offer won't happen.

Is there any other options to find a job before receiving an invitation from entry express?
(I'm a software/web developer with almost 2 year of experiences and speaking both french and english so i looking for something in that field anywhere in Canada)

Probably the same answer as for job applications in your home county.

You can try applying through the web sites of large employers directly. There are also other job sites like LinkedIn.

Are you a Belgian national? How old are you?

I was also thinking about trying linkedIn or Indeed but I never see any offer for international worker not having already there working permit.
Do you think it could work anyway ?
And yes I'm a belgian national and I'm 35 year old
why?

If you were 30 or under you could apply for an open work permit through the IEC program. But you are too old.

For LinkedIn and employer web sites, there are no specific jobs for international workers. You just apply for job postings and hope you get lucky. Avoid the big Canadian bank. They will not go through the process of hiring a foreign worker.

Best advice is to try to qualify and have enough points to be selected without a job offer.

Sadly, I only have a score of 443 and I dont see how to improve it
That why I looking for a job offer.

My score:

CRS - Human Capital - Age 77
CRS - Human Capital - Level of Education 120
CRS - Human Capital - First Official Language Proficiency 133
CRS - Human Capital - Second Official Language Proficiency 13
CRS - Skill Transferability - Education 25
CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience 25
CRS - Additional - French Proficiency or Bilingualism 50

I don't see how to improve on it
Maybe redo the IELTS for the "Second Official Language Proficiency"
I find it weird that I only 13 for my score for the IELTS
My IELTS score:
Listening: 7.5, Reading 7.0, Writing 5.5, Speaking 6.5, Overall Band Score 6.5, CEFR Level B2.
it's not so bad
Any idea or advice?

Spend some time researching the catetory based draws under Express Entry on the IRCC website, specifically the French language proficiency category.

Spend some time researching the catetory based draws under Express Entry on the IRCC website, specifically the French language proficiency category.
Already done and they seems to happen at the end of the month and I have a better score than the "CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate invited" most of the time but before that I was and I'm still registered at arrima for the draw by the Quebec since 6 month and I'm never selected.
So I'm not really confident to received an invitation without a job offer.
But thanks anyway for your advices.
Realy thank you so much for taking the time :)
