My parent's visa for PR landing finally arrived in Mississauga. The process started since Sept 2009. It's being processed or held in custom. Does anyone know when it might get released for Canada post to deliver to Toronto? It was arrived in Mississauga on January 13. Thank you!

I have a question about parent sponsorship,
I m a canadian citizen who sponsored my wife 2 years ago, now after moving back to canada since 8 months ago,
we are thinking of sponsoring her parents and her sister( 19 years old) .
what is the requirements for such sponsorship ? Please any help would be greatly appreciated .

has it been in customs longer than a week? which carrier you did you use for delivering to Canada?

from my personal experience it usually does not take longer than a week to clear the customs. I'm sure you'll get them this coming week

Hope so! Fingers crossed that it arrives this week. We're planning the trip now to do our landing as soon as it gets here. Time for a deserved vacation to somewhere warm. It's been a week already and the mail was sent from HK via Hong Kong Post.

your passports will arrive by Canada Post. have you tried to use Canada Post tracking system?

it was application received until 16th Jan , turned in process on 16th jan and next day says decision made, medical will expire first week of feb

Yes, I did. That's how I found out it's in custom now. Just wondering how long it might take for them to release it for delivery. Hoping it'll be here this week.

no updates or Decisions made yet.

yes, I am. It is showing In process since Dec. 9 but no updates yet. Medicals received on July 2 in ECAS updates. I am sure something good will happen in the coming week. Good luck to you too. No worries. They are working on cases. It all depends on the officer how fast they can get through the files but I am sure that it is not gonna be longer than a week based on what I am reading from other members.

i m saying that mp said New Delhi replied abt inquiry that they sent a letter us on 2 dec ,we didn't reply the letter and expiry of this letter is 17 jan..but we didn't receive any letter from ND,,OUR address is same,nothing changed,,so where is the letter??

nothing still,,,bcz saturday, sunday is off at ND,,may get something in this week....one of our known also face same problm,,they made mp inquiry..they replied we send a letter ,,but don't get reply...after this ND made a call and said we sent a letter regarding requst of ur passport and u didn't reply us and now send ur passport,,these guys got visa in june 2013..their medical is not expired at that time,,but in my case our medical is already expired
