this is definitely not a good start... there should be only one process.

where both husband and wife go in front of visa officer and marry again each other with witnesses and in case we have this new spouse law in place to stop any wrong marriage ...this will save lot of time and money....

Yeah, that's a gud idea!
I see their point in making sure it's all genuine based on their previous experiences with fake marriages.
But they have to do this faster as waiting for the spouse especially soon after the marriage is not to be experienced.
I would say, they'll have to make this a high priority something like to be processed in 1-2~months in total.
Or they should at least help in getting approval for the visitor visa for the those who have made PR spousal application.
Anyways, we'll just have to wait in line with the hope.

I got my AOR today via email
It mentions my existing UCI number along with an application number.
The letter mentions that my file was receieved 22 Feb 2013.

Hey Gulzar.....

Even i thought of following my hubby but i had to fill all forms as my hubby was too busy n so got delay in submitting forms also and even my forms were held up for custom clearance for 3days in US.

Hey hello888,

Dear Don't worry about anything. You are still under the normal process. Today they have updated the processing time on CIC website and now officially they are working on the applications which they have received on or before Feb 05, 2013 whereas your application has reached there on Feb 07, 2013.

You can't do anything till your application has passed the date shown on the CIC website. Don't worry soon you will hear from CIC.

i have a query in the application form..
when i fill it for my spouse (should i have to submit additional dependants form for my wife?

please let me know if the below is enough

Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008] --- done
Additional Dependants/Declaration [IMM 0008DEP] --- do i need this?
Schedule A – Background/Declaration [IMM 5669] -- done
Additional Family Information [IMM 5406] -- done
Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionnaire [IMM 5490] --done
Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] --- NA

Guys who are worried about not having their AOR - trust me I was in the same boat as you guys are when i saw applicants after me received their AOR.
Only one thing that helped me got rid of it was the confidence that members of this forum gave me. I know its hard to accept but trust me and stop worrying and have a good night sleep,You might have an email with good news on a fresh day morning.

Saying mr.mickey(myself) we received your sponsorship for xxx(my spouse's name).

How long does it usually take for your inforamtion to appear in E-cas?
What parameters should we be using to check the application status. When I login E-Cas with the UCI and my family name/DOB it still shows my PR application that was completed.

Should i search my information or my spouse's information? I am confused here because the UCI they provided in the email was the existing one I had. Another point here is my spouse will have UCI only when they actually accept the application and provide a PR. Is it true?

When you guys get some spare time please let me know.

My information took 2 days to show up in ecas, using the UCI and my information (sponsor). I just used my surname not my full name, which I did at first and nothing showed up. Check on Monday to see if the info is there.

Finally relief....
Well, use you UCI number and you last name. It takes three to four working days for the e-cas to be updated.
I suggest check it on next tuesday or wednesday.

That's all I have for now. My brother completed this process in 2008. He applied in July and my sister-in-law was here in Nov. I'm expecting the same times? Anybody have anything different?

My hubby is from Delhi lolz....i hate Delhi ppl as they are not like punjabis...but ki kriye Rab ne bnati jodi... ...lucky to have a guy who belongs to Delhi but blood smells punjabi ..very down to earth...no ego and attitude like most Delhi people.
