Hi All,

Quick question about IMM5540E form.. Sponsor Questionnaire. At the end of the form it says "On a separate sheet of paper, provide any additional details of your current relationship that you believe would help to proove that your relationship is genuine and continuing"


I am really confused about this one. Am sponsoring my husband in India and he has already given all the details. Do I still need to attach extra sheet ?

Need you guys advice on what did you all do with this one ?

I think it is a very good idea to write a little something to add to the application. I added one to my file. I typed up a one page just explaining my side of things and I think it will only help your case. I have read this several times on this site that it is a very good idea to add your version of the relationship. You don't have to, but i I think it will benefit your case.

Not to mention I am from Quebec and Have to go thru Immigration Quebec after CIC approval for sponsorship.

I think that medical has not been done early but sending the Application got delayed according to my experience.

My husband went bk to Canada in Nov so he tk my medical too. There is no other reason apart. I prepared my file myself but he hired lawyer there for further process. I got married in last week of Sept.

Our lawyer told us to get medicals done. There is no other reason such.

Don't worry dear , you will be getting AOR by this week or next week. You will get email for the same that we have received your application on bla bla date and after a week your sponsorship will be approved if nothing missing in the application.

The Sponsor receives the AOR which is always by email but it is optional. Many Sponsors don't get AOR. The Sponsorship Approval letter can be sent either by email (sponsor's email) or it can also be sent by ordinary snail mail at sponsor's address in Canada and the file is transferred to the local visa office for further process.

Just wait for updates of processing times which will be done either today or tomorrow to know which date they are processing. Till now it shows that they are processing the files received on or before January 29, 2013. So nothing to worry in your case now. Everything is normal.

Hi,

you dont have to do additional dependants/declaration if there is no other member other than the principal applicant whom you are going to sponsor.
