Hi,

They ask for the GPR the military card. My husband don't have a card. Somebody else were in that situation? I read he will have to make him one year military training if he ask the card. We are so worry now.

Thanks!
He doesn't have to do the one year of service, he just needs the precartilla or cartilla.

Hi all,
just a question...
Is there any way that my husband can come to Canada and wait for the answer of the pr ?
Me my husband and 2 year old are all here in Mexico waiting... I just received the sponsorship approval on the 30th and it was sent to mexico city. 14 months is such a long time......
You can apply for a TRV but, the chances of him getting approved for it are slim to none as he obviously has ties to Canada. You have to convince the VO beyond a shadow of a doubt that your husband will return to Mexico when the TRV expires. It's almost impossible. The fact that you are living in Mexico with him helps to prove a genuine relationship. 80% of applications are processed in 14 months or less so, if you have a routine application it should not take that long.
There are also unconfirmed rumors that the Visa requirement for Mexicans will be lifted in February. If that does happen, your husband can go with you to Canada to wait out the process but, he will not be able to work until he gets PR.

Courier is to the embassy so you can track it and confirm that it got there. Include a letter with your file and UCI number so they can match it with your file.

Hey everyone. I'm still in the collecting documents, printing pictures stages and also waiting for my husband to get his meds done. My question though...is it really necessary to write a relationship essay? I mean we are submitting so many pictures, emails and imessage records which clearly shows the development of our relationship in the past two years. I just think these VO's receive so much stuff that if you keep it with just send them with what they ask for then it will be fine.
Has anyone not sent in an essay from both sponsor and applicant?

Thank you

I didn't write one and only sent about 15 photos, no letters, nothing. They later asked me for more pictures and other documents that prove our relationship so I gave them our lease, gym membership and more photos. I would assume that's enough since they never asked for a letter of any kind.

I didn't write an essay but, I did write a one page summary of our relationship which was mostly important dates. When we met, each visit, etc. All that stuff was in the application somewhere but the summary just put it all together so it's easier to reference. It's not a requirement at this time so, just do what you feel is right for you.

I was thinking to do the same. I summary with a timeline of dates so they can see how much we went back and forth.

What?! Really?! Like a real rumour or what? If so that would be fantastic! When I first read this I googled the issue and some articles came up from the last year and a half of the Mexican president, EPN, telling Harper he doesn't like the visa requirement for Mexicans, and that EPN cancelled a visit to Canada over the issue. Now I see that Harper is going to Mexico in february, is that where the rumour originated from? I hope it's true. I've heard that a lot of english language schools in Vancouver (probably other cities in Canada too) are hurting right now with a lack of Mexicans because of the tourist visa requirement for Mexicans.

HI Everybody, My wife has been asked to provide the Police Certificate from PGR (Datos Registrales), The Canadian Embassy in Mexico sent her an email requesting this but they informed that they will send her an official letter from their office that was sent already by mail. This letter has not been received yet, then, we decided to send a prepaid airway mail in order to have their official letter. They received this one week ago, does someone know how much time it approximately takes for the embassy to generate this official letter and send it through once they received the prepaid airway bill?

Thanks!
