Hi everyone, my wife's parents are completing their forms to complete a TRV but when they fill out form 5257 and then press validate it says that it validates successfully. But on the 6th and final page the actual barcodes are blank and all that appears is the little writing like on this page...

Question about the list upon arrival in Canada for first time as PR

oooooo also, we arrive in Toronto, but are connecting to Vancouver 3 and a half hours later as our final destination. Do they go through your luggage or do you need to tell the airline any specific info about it for the cbsa to look through it or not??

The letter they sent to her says she should detail what she has so I{m just wondering how much detail they want? I don{t want to leave out any details that could...

Welcome! Took us a couple months too. The process of getting it all together was the most stressful for us. The day I sent it off a huge stress was released as there's nothing you can do for a while, it's in their hands. I wish you the best. I've noticed the activity on this topic has slowed...

    What's the next step?

Hi everyone, my wife and I applied for permanent residence in January which was received by Missassagua February 5, and I as the sponsor was approved early March, they then sent the application package to the visa office in Mexico City. Then in early May they asked for a police record and...

So how long after you DHL'd your pgr did you get the passport email? We sent our pgr and right of PR fee last week and hopefully our passport letter comes shortly. Like your situation I visited my wife frequently and we had a lot of emails photos and letters to overwhelm them. :) Is the pgr...

I did a search on this topic of 'pgr translation' because for me it is not clear if the pgr needs translation and the results are mixed. Some people have said it is necessary and some say it is not. Has anyone who did not include a translation of the pgr been told by the embassy to get a...

I don't think so. I as the sponsor was approved March 3, they then said they were sending the package to Mexico City Visa Office, and then two months later, on May 2 I received the AOR letter.

Good news for us, the wheels are in motion, received the AOR on Friday with instructions on how to send a DHL pre-paid airway bill to the embassy so they can send us instructions on how to get the PGR. Seems a little odd but nonetheless glad things are getting going. I had two detail questions...

I had a question about the process of waiting. We applied in early February, I got approved as the sponsor March 3, and when I check my processing time on the CIC website it has no news of anything since then. They said they would mail the package from Mississagua to Mexico City, but do they let...

Really? I thought it was only for people who had been removed from Canada? My wife was here five years ago before Mexicans needed visitor visas, and then she got visa extensions and then voluntarily left Canada before the final visa expired. As of now we are in the process of applying for...

The cic website has updated the expected time of sponsorship applications for each visa office and the one for Mexico City has increased from 14 to 16 months. But looking at some peoples expereriences here recently I thought maybe things were going faster. I guess not overall.

I received my approval of sponsor last week! Took 26 days from when they received it. Happy for the good news. Now they send the package to Mexico City. So I guess the next correspondence from CIC will be an acknowledgement of receiving it in DF? Should I expect to wait around three months for...
