You have to choose your words carefully. No one is telling anyone to lie. I guess you you're capable of reading. I advised that the gentleman gets a "honest" report from his specialist. If you want to be quick to comment, at least take some time to read.
To me this sentence means trying to influence and manipulate your report "You need to sit down and have a deep meaningful conversation with your specialist, underscoring the importance of his report on the outcome of your PR application." and so does this sentence "to circumvent any unnecessary delay, get a report from your GI doctor that contain the information the panel physician wants", especially the last 6 words.

Yes, I am taking Humira for my RA and passed my medicals last month. PR still to come, hopefully. I declared my disease and all the medications I take. Got a report from my specialist and submitted it too. I didn't use a lawyer. All the best !!

Has anyone taking Humira have successfully managed to apply for their PR? Did you have to use an immigration lawyer? Im hoping some of you guys who've posted ahead be kind enough to give an update.

Im about to start on Humira next month. I dont have my EE application in yet but was hoping to get an upfront medical test this week. Im in BC so im not aware of any private insurance program that can cover this. But BC governments MSP does and theyre the primary insurance provider.

Then you should have asked for clarifications since you have a hard time understanding English. Most specialist do not understand the immigration process and how to write a report specific for immigration, hence, the "Deep meaningful conversation" to explain the procedure.

"Circumvent" according to Webster's means to avoid. The lay explanation of my last statement is to avoid any delay, since the panel physician will ask for a report anyways is to go with all the information before they ask for it. How on earth does that translate to lying. SMH

9.0. out of 9.0 in reading in IELTS 3 times in a row without any preparation. , have this occurred to you that maybe you need to work on improving your writing skills?

Rg74, Thanks so much for chipping in. Would be super helpful to know how your PR application goes later on. So i hope you can keep us updated. I hope your application makes it through.

What did you mean by "passed your medical test" though? Do they give you an all clear after the test? (Sorry, im just not too clear on how that part of the process works, so im curious). Also, did the report from your specialist have a good prognosis? Does it say youre going to stop or reduce Humira over a period of time or anything along those lines to suggest that youre going to rely less on the healthcare?

Either way, I wish you good luck with your PR and your health! Do let us know how this goes for you. :)

If you follow OP's posts, he hasn't heard back from CIC after submitting his reports. I believe that's a good sign that they haven't asked for any furtherance tests except the report from doctor.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I have Crohn's and have taken Humira for the past 7 years, with remission and a pretty much symptom-free life ever since. I got my AOR and am anxiously awaiting news...

It took me a long time to complete my application, so I actually took the medical exams 2 months ago. I told the doctor about my Crohn's and he wrote it down, but the only tests I got at the time were the overall examination, the blood test for syphilis/HIV, and the chest X-ray.

I asked if I needed to do any tests specific to my disease and he said IRCC would let him know if they needed anything else. He hasn't contacted me ever since!

How long does IRCC take to ask the doctor for tests/prognoses/clarifications if it doesn't like what it sees? Am I in the clear since it has been 2 months since the exam? Or does the clock only start ticking after AOR?

Thanks

Urgent: If an application is cancelled because of wrong police certificate, can one still use the same medical test that was used for the previous application?

Hey guys,
Just an update because many people have been contacting me asking for updates...
Unfortunately, I just received a fairness letter, and after consulting so many legal assistance clinics and university help desks (I'm a grad student), they all seem to strongly suggest that I contact a lawyer or law company to help me write a response, and they all suggested a specific one which obviously has the best experience in that issue (not sure if I can write its name on this forum, but it is the first one that comes up when you google how to get help with medical fairness letter)...
Now the big issue for me is the cost, the fees for that service of fairness letter response is 2000-5000 CAD based on the case..as a student you can imagine how huge this is for me, so I'm not really sure what to do..
Low income legal clinics are not an option either, cause beside the low quality, they have huge waiting lists for immigration departments, and usually they prioritize people with more serious/detrimental cases...
If I find a solution or seek another way I will let you know...and if anyone has an advice or a previous experience that may help please don't hesitate..I'm desperately seeking any help cause the PR issue for me is not just for immigration, it will significantly affect my education and career too.

I feel sorry for you. I pray that you overcome this soon.

Can you get in touch with this member @computergeek

This is the link to his profile. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/members/computergeek.206408/

He overcame a medical issue successfully after a battle with IRCC and has very strong knowledge in this area.

You can also get in touch with this member - @legalfalcon . He is very helpful too.

Good luck.

I'm so sorry to hear that! I'm sorry I can't offer any advice, as I'm hoping I don't get a fairness letter myself due to Crohn's Disease. But I wish you the best of luck!

How many days after AOR did it take for them to send you the fairness letter? How much time are they giving you to reply?

It's been 24 days since my AOR and I'm on the edge of my seat...
