I hope you get the oath invitation soon, its annoying how they are completely ignoring us and yet keep inviting people from 2021 for oath immediately or within couple of weeks after DM
I finally got a response earlier today from Mississauga office saying I don't qualify for urgent processing for Oath! This is Month 40 of my application.
The only good news today I read today on the forum was that a 2017 applicant got the oath.

This system they have put up is so frustrating honestly, after all the delays with our files the least they can do for us is to push all the 2018-19 applicants who are waiting for oath ahead of all the new applicants(2020-21), there is literally no reason to keep us waiting for 6 months after DM while inviting everyone else within days of DM.
In a different thread I found a 2016 applicant. There’s something not quite right with the way processing is going on.
Anyone for a petition to the House of Commons to stop taking any new applications till the backlog is cleared and processing times are at least back to pre-Covid levels? With the Ukraine crisis looming, I am worried about IRCC accumulating another backlog.

It may not stand a chance, but it will be unprecedented. A petition to HoC has probably not been done before, even though circa 2011-13, then CIC cancelled a lot of PR applications to clear the backlog and asked applicants to start afresh. I just missed that cancellation.
If nothing else, it could start a conversation within media. I see no reason why IRCC should get more applications in, without any progress on clearing the backlog. Ministers can make announcements but the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
I, too, would like this to be over with. As I said elsewhere, this delay has taken the joy and excitement out of becoming a citizen. Now it's more like a box that is waiting to be ticked without making much difference anywhere. I volunteers extensively with the riding during the federal and provincial elections, so I definitely want to vote in the upcoming Ontario elections and apply for jobs that require citizenship. Unfortunately, these are not reasons enough for urgent processing approval
