After two months waiting for our Emile's answer we got yesterday the same email as yours.

oh well im not sure ....are u a woman sponsoring her husband or a man sponsoring his wife ? and from what country and when did they receive ur application?

maybe its because our husbands are middle eastern and did the miltary service im not to sure but i got it at 6 months and a half and u got it at 8 months ....thats weird...im not too sure what they mean....this is confusing i wish i knew if someone before us got it and after how long from this e mail they got the PPR ....

I am a woman. I am the sponsored. So this background check i think is relevant to me and not my husband. I am from Iran.

hello all, dear arezou and ramz I think there maybe several causes which can lead to further checks for example when I applied under skilled worker class ,my background check was lasted longer than usual because I was called for the second interview .It was because of my filed of study and also the place where I worked had just gone in the black list (just my luck).I hope it does not last long dears and hope they do it ASAP. My husband e-mailed them about 20 days ago so they are gonna send him the same e-mail.

i think that it will be so.
They have a draft letter and easily copy and paste it. We sent during 8 months 4 emails and i think in this way they want to say "stop send us emails"! "Wait till we contact you"! OK We do that?
Do we have another chance?
No.
In this reply i could receive my file number which starts with "F" till now i had only the one which starts with "B". So in every bad thing there is a good thing too!

hi to all I got my passport stamped with my visa after I went to damascus on sunday picked passport back on monday they were very busy talk to you later love you all thanks god thanks guys do not loose hope soon is tomorrow inshallah

Following your email below, please note that we received the results of further medical examination and is valid until October 12, 2012, we expect the outcome of security checks to go to the next stage of treatment. Once results are received we will contact you.

What that mean, how mutch time its take the security checks?????

That's what we're waiting for too and I don't know ??? ???

a warm hello to all of my dear friends,
well it seems like my time here in damascus is almost done, i was told today i will be sent back to ottawa within the next few weeks, who knows what the reason is but from what i picked up i cant be in damascus when my wife's file is being processed, so i guess thats good news in a way, after almost 9.5 months of waiting i think they are finally processing her file so yeah they are deporting me back to ottawa lol i think its because they know im persian and they know persians need like 2 months of khoone tekooni( cant be translated lol ) or cleaning before a guest arrives and me being a persian guy i need to fix my disaster of a house before the wife arrives looool anyways i wish you all the best, i will be in touch as much as i can in the next couple of weeks but if im quiet its not because im dead , its just that i cant find the time,
and a final note, damascus is INSANELY busy with files and the processing is like never before so yeah sunny days are coming 8)

Great news! For you and for everyone else if they are that busy! Hope before the holidays PPRs will be flying out of that door ;D

Guys, my wife did her medical exam Oct.31,2011 and we did not hear anything yet. My wife emailed the

embassy today asking them about the status on the application, fingers crossed.

Us too...my husband re-did his medicals Nov. 4th and on e-cas it doesn't say anything about medicals received...not that I trust e-cas but as far as medicals go it's really the only way to know if they got them or not. We emailed them too about a week ago. Like usual no reply, but we're just waiting. On e-cas does yours say medicals received?
