It looks like someone put a date in on PPR requested that resulted in an average time of 700+days from sponsorship approval to PPR request. :) Grats to everyone this week who saw movement on their cases, hopefully, Ottawa will keep it going!

Hello all, I would like to update with you my timeline and landing information. (I tried to post an update right after landing but failed. After that I totally forgot about posting it. Thanks so much for Ivan's effort to maintain the Excel records! he/she sent me a reminder today :))

3/13 I received PPR
4/9 I sent my real passport to Ottawa through USPS Express. I am not from a visa-exempted country, so was required to send passport. Even though USPS express is very expensive (~$30), it gives you a tracking number which priority mail does not for the internatinal mail.
4/12 My mail was accepted in Ottawa
5/7 I received my passport back with an immigration visa stamp as well as COPR. My previous multiple entry TRV was stamped as "cancelled without prejudice". Before receiving the package I was very nervous because Ottawa would only mail through regular mail. The PPR letter stated that no prepaid evenlop will be accepted for international mail. Luckily I got everything back.
5/22 I landed in Edmonton Internation Airport almost mid-night. The whole landing process took less than 10 minutes. The immigration officer did not even mention about B4/B4A forms. I told him that I will go back to US after a few days to wrap up my work and permanently move to Canada in a couple of months, he suggested me that I will not be able to come back unless I have a PR card or a visa (I assume he was talking about travel document). He also said now the PR card processing time is up to 2 months.

Good luck!
Congratulations on landing and welcome to Canada ;D

Whoops! It was a little convoluted, but I figured it out - bscinto92's sponsor approval date was missing, which confused the spreadsheet. I added the date and it's now back to a slightly more humane 152 days!

My computer is broken...... no idea what exactly happened, but my cat walked on my keyboard a few times. Now I can't acces Google drive (or Adobe Flash Player/DirectX).

It's very annoying. I'm going to ask my husband to look at it this weekend. Hopefully he can fix it.
Ah, I was wondering what had happened to your ninja spreadsheet-updating skills!

First I got really sick. Then I got the flu. Now my computer is broken. Apparently June is my month for stupid things to happen.

Okay I have a question about AOR at Ottawa. Obviously they do not just send them out to everyone but if you email them and get an answer back confirming receipt of that new information, would that be considered AOR? I received this message way back on April 18:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Your residential address has been updated. Mailing address remains the same. Please allow up to 15 days for the change to take into effect on our website.

Regards,

Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa | Centre de Traitement Pilote – Ottawa -WC5183

E-mail I Courriel : OttPilot-immigration @ cic.gc.ca

I emailed them to change my address. Of course, since I am using an attorney the mailing address for my attorney is what is showing on ecas and it will not change to the new address I provided them with. My status still reads that my application was received February 21, 2013. I see others are colored on the spreadsheet as 2nd AOR received. If this email is an AOR can someone update the spreadsheet for me as having received it April 18? Thanks!!

I'm crossing my fingers for the strike to end. News reports say that PR applications are being backlogged quickly and only temporary visas are being processed at many offices right now. Sigh.

Also, my computer is still broken. Sigh again.

If you see a news report about the strike, would love to see it. We had a few Ottawa updates last week, so hopefully things will keep moving, even if they are moving a little more slowly than before.

Everything I get is from this website...... haha. I hope they keep plugging away. I had my graduation timed almost perfectly with when I should get my PR.

Congrats on your PR. I was told at Carway it would be 4-6 weeks for PR Card. Also, I think PR card or visa is only needed if you're flying in (or other commercial trans.). If you drive your own car, you only need COPR or Record of Landing.
