Got PR card in the mail today - ending my epic 7 year journey to PR status. For those who just landed recently, don't book any (air) travel just yet, the 67 days their quoting for first time PR cards isn't too accurate. Best of luck all!

Congrats on your PR. I was told at Carway it would be 4-6 weeks for PR Card. Also, I think PR card or visa is only needed if you're flying in (or other commercial trans.). If you drive your own car, you only need COPR or Record of Landing...

Much as I wish that was the case, it doesn't seem "Decision Made" on ecas corresponds with COPR being issued. I'm beginning to suspect it's a delayed update that should correspond with my PPR. Anyone have a different experience?

If your application is straight forward, the "processing" bit is just checking that the background checks came back clean, medical passed, your sponsor has enough money, etc. It's literally hours, not days of work. If something is amiss, then "processing" is weeks and months of correspondence...

My has e-cas changed to medical results received. More importantly, received the PPR email. They only requested my passport and 2 passport photos.

If I may ask, how long between their request for your extension & the PPR?

Got request to re-do medicals on Jan 30th. VO requested med extension from Ottawa-HMB on the same day the emailed me for the re-do. Per March GCMS notes, VO has no results of my re-do AND no indication of approval of the extension by HMB.

That's great news, hopefully that was the last thing holding up your file. My guess is that ecas is customarily several weeks behind and the VO is done with the medical part of your application. Time for you to start logging on to ecas every day now :)

Rattles, had you submitted an Australian clearance with your application and it expired or did you never submit one at all before this? I'm wondering now that I had to renew my medical if I should preemptively order new police clearances. I haven't been to those countries since the last...

Interesting. Mine used to say "application received" + "medical results received". Then it went to "in-process" and nothing about medical results after I had to redo them. I understand your frustration. Hopefully there's some movement soon...
