Just received a call from my hubby that we are done with step 1, yesterday he received my letter of approval.
Application submitted date- April 4, 2012
Letter of Approval date- June 13

Iam sooooo happy.

Wow...that is awesome.......hopefully us in February will get one soon....I have had an AOR, received last week, but ecas still says "application received" ...so congrats on the approval!!!!! ;D

Should us Aprilicants start getting excited, or is it too early? I mean, one of ours got approval...but what about the remaining Feb and Mar applicants? I can't make heads or tails of this...how can they move on to April when they haven't even finished the previous two months?

Jas09, can you tell us a little about your case? Do you have children together? How long have you been married? Any info would be helpful so we can get a better idea of how quickly they approve certain apps. Thanks, and again, a big congrats on being the first Aprilicant! My money was on Marty11 or mobeyk!!

I really dont knowwhat exactly is the procedure CIC, M Followed, but my letter of approval is the proof that they are working on April applicants.
i got married on 14th dec, 2011.. No childrens yet....its a simple case no travel history . What else should i tell u ?

My hubby is Hamilton, canada and iam from India...He recieved my letter of approval via post on 18th June which was originally posted by CPC-M on 13th June ..he didnt receive any email.

Wow Jas, congrats...i am a march 9th applicant and i got my approval on the same day as yours and my letter was mailed me on 18th of june...

that was really fast... you're application was 6 days ahead of us and I wish 6 days after reading ur post, I will be hearing some good news too!! we got married last january this year, we don't have children as well. and no travel history too...

Travel history only matters for the applicant and not the sponsor, correct? I mean in terms of delaying approval.
