Hi guys, Today I had full hearing after 2yrs after getting rejected. It was in Winnipeg. The IRB member was from calagry and our hearing took 2hrs. They only questioned my wife and were satisfied with her answers. We did have a lawyer and he prepared us very well.

Hello everyone, today I called IAD Toronto office to get some updates about my appeal I filed my appeal in april,2013 get blue book around 120 days since that I get no news. IAD office Toronto told me that your file is in a Q(review) if you get no news with in 6 months after received your blue book its mean it will be full hearing IAD will inform you with in 6 months if u get ADR. I get no news almost 5 months gone since I get my blue book.
IAD office told me if its full hearing it will take 18teen months more so its from appeal to full hearing 28 months in Toronto.
GUYS does anyone have same case situation, plz help me out with some information .THANKS

Hi Arif,

I am sailing in same boat. Its been more than 4 months since we have received the blue book. REcently my lawyer was at IAD to inquire about our case. Guess what!! They said its under review. Thats it. Now we dont have any idea when we would be scheduled for ADR or full hearing. I think the long wait times are becoz of hell lot of pending cases with them....

Hope this nightmare comes to an end soon for all of us

Yes if you have crossed 1 year time period .. you have to re-do the medical ...

I heard they are considering to record the interviews. The notes that the VO wrote had almost nothing to do with what my husband said about himself, about me and about us.

I am also very disappointed that interviews are not mandated to be recorded. Perhaps if they were, and VOs were forced to be more honest and fair we would not need such a long appeal process.

A couple of other things that I start to wonder about, how many sponsors who cannot attend the interview in person actually get called by the VO? I know I did not get called, which bothers me since the VO asked my wife to describe the work I do. I don't recall anywhere in the application I described my job. So how can the VO confirm the answer my wife gave?

I try very hard not to be depressed or angry, but I do find I am fighting some fits of rage about the interview.

Anyways, thanks for all the support. I hope I can put a good enough case together to get and ADR.

iI just sent a very long and detailed emal To Mr Scot Brison My MLA am going to redo my sponsorship and hope it helps us i will go back in spring as i have to get time off now i cant i just came back from my husband in sept .. the cost is just so much has anyone use a consultant for the process and in a full hearing am trying to stay positive i feel so much happiness for all the people that are winning god bless you all

hhassa i understand your grief all to well same thing with me .. so now you file appeal wait and see if you get a adr i have not gone to full hearing as my lawyer advised me not to at this time because if u lose the appeal thats it .. so i am sponsoring over again
