IEC - step one passed, how long will step two take?

Hi PMM, yes I had read that which is the reason for my question.... I know they're having difficulty with the 8 week turnaround for step one but there is no real mention of step two. I've heard stories of some people getting a response within as little as 4 days and others having to chase...

IEC - step one passed, how long will step two take?

Rec'd letter saying "congrats you meet the criteria and have been conditionally accepted". So then have to send GBP 90 and send in the IMM1295 form. All looks good and very happy but then at the bottom it says that the form will be reviewed by the Visa section.....and if it gets refused, a...

IEC International Experience Canada, how else can you get to Canada for a year?

Hoping somebody might be able to help......The High Commission website shows that there are 5,350 spaces for the IEC each year and unfortunately those are already taken up and the notice on the website says they are not accepting any new applications. I have a very good friend/business...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Steve - you will be coming to Canada as a visitor and will hopefully be granted a 6-month visitors permit. The Border control can turn you away or limit your stay if they have any concerns that you might not leave. If you haven't filed anything BEFORE you cross the border, it should be...

Exciting times ahead..... I went to London on business a couple of weeks ago and dropped off my boyfriend's passport (annoyingly the CDN High Commission is only open Thursdays from 2 - 3!). His Mom is picking it up this Thursday and sending it to us and we'll look at heading out of the country...

Alie, congrats to you too! Looks like lots of good news coming out of the London office lately!!! Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

AKGAZ, congrats!!!! It took almost a week for our Ecas to be updated. I got the notification from our immigration lawyer and immediately logged on to Ecas only to see "application received". One week to the day later, it now says "decision made". Probably the best feeling in the world!

Thanks AKGAZ!!! It was such a good day and I still get a bit teary when I think of how lucky we've been! I'm off to the UK on Friday so will drop my fellah's passport in on the Thursday following so it's only a 2 week wait instead of the 6 - 8 that everybody else has been reporting! Fingers...
