Well my husband received an email from AVO today to go re do his medical. I believe this is a good sign that we are close to passport requested. after 14months and few days. His medical expire since November 2016.

@ becos, I agreed with you, I believe they are using the county of PA. anyhow my husband's application has been delayed too long. is 14months and few days now. OVA can even explain why is been delay.

@becos, yes. my application was transferred from Canada to Ghana. I believe they are using 16months because my husband live in Nigeria.

@ Genegene, great , you are lucky your husband is with you. you don't have to pass through loneliness of living by yourself. meaning your application is inside Canada not outside Canada?

@ Genegene, PIF (personal information form). is a form that is completed when first come to Canada to seek asylum. I believe the name form has been change

Hello Genegene, it is hard to tell how long it will take to get a response back from them. it depends on your case and the officer in charge. In our case it past two months since they receive additional document they requested for, and phone interview with my husband, even far past 30 days...
