We are working on getting the documentation uploaded to apply online for my Wife's extension as a visitor into Canada. I didn't know till now that a photo and proof of medical are required. I don't understand why this would be required when both of these were included in our PR application...

That's why I am confused. On the link you provided, if you click the "pay the fee" link I don't see any option to "extend your visitor stay" or something close to this. We applied via Outland method in nov of 2016. I was approved as a sponsor and my wife's application was started on dec 7th.

Hmm, When she selected that she was married, she has to put in a IRS number for me. When you do it, do you not have this option? I believe she is using turbotax.
