My husband received this the same day that he was sent the request to have his medical done again. He received PPR exactly 7 days later :) Congratulations!

My husband picked up his passport from DHL today. For those who have been asking, we never heard from the Accra VO. I kept refreshing the tracking number we were given for the return, and when it showed the package had been picked up from the VO, my husband called to make arrangements to go and...

When my husband submitted his passport through DHL, he received a tracking number for both ways, from my understanding. I will have to check with him how all that is supposed to work. Have you already submitted yours?

Hi! If I recall correctly, Lamour received the passport back in just over 2 weeks I think. She believed that the 2 extra holiday days off with Easter during that time caused a delay. My husband submitted his on Tuesday and we were able to track through DHL that the visa office received it...

I am not really sure about that. Our GCMS notes showed the validity date as being one year from the time he had his first medical, with a "due date" of July 2016, but they still asked him to redo his medical before they issued the PPR. I don't really know how that works..

Yes, we did request the GCMS notes which indicated the medical had been passed. They still requested remedical though, about two months after my husband's had expired.

No problem :) Yes, remain patient and positive. If you are a September applicant then you have already made it through the majority of the processing time and the end is now in sight.

Yes, as Mandie said, 9 months from the time the application was filed. A much better figure than what is listed on the CIC website, but still so long to wait. You are a September applicant...your time is coming near :)

The current processing time based on what we've seen through this forum appears to be about 9 months. Having to redo the medical and requests for additional documents can extend this, however. My husband and I submitted our application in June of 2015 and received PPR this past week, but I had...

It can't hurt to try, but from my understanding they can be difficult to obtain. You need to do a lot to prove strong ties to your home country to convince the visa officers that you will return once your visitor visa is expired (ie. job, land/property ownership, etc.).

Yes, I am a Canadian citizen. Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear about the question. To clarify, I am Canadian, and sponsored my husband, who is Ghanaian.

Yes, we are ready for that! We applied June 12, 2015. We were requested to send a copy of his WAEC one month ago to the day, on March 18th, and had been waiting to hear back since.

Good Morning House, My husband received an email from CIC this morning requesting that he redo his medical clearance. Is it too early to start celebrating? For anyone who has had to do this, can you tell me approximately how long it takes for the CIC to receive the results once he has had it...
