Can people who received medical comment on this? I need to know if I really have to pressure them for referring my request to the office of the dean. I'm not sure if they would eventually accept that. :(

Is it fine if the attestation letter is signed by some other authority in the "School of Graduate Studies", for instance "director of student services"? In principle they are the Dean's designate for issuing such confirmations and letters... but the name or title of the Dean himself is not...

Well, I don't think anyone on this forum has had her/his application refused by means of the officer's substituted evaluation. Officers can only use their power to substitute their evaluation in favor of, or against an applicant with respect to "score requirement". In the case of negative...

There is no formal way to ask them to reconsider once they refuse an application and they often don't open a closed file unless an obvious mistake has caused the negative result. Then, the only way to overturn an officer's decision will be a federal court sentence.

Although I think you got your answer from Parkinson: I guess technically you don't need to be a "student" at the time you were hired as an RA. Because that statement you quoted is mentioned under "Employment requirements" on the NOC 4012 webpage. Such requirements are excluded from the FSW...

CBSA officers who are responsible for this sort of things are only in the secondary inspection area where incoming international flights' passengers are checked-in. I'd imagine you can't access that area. So if you're not planning to leave Canada, either flag-pole at a land border or call CIC to...

Hello all! If one applies under the PhD stream and claims two years of continuous RA work (T4A), 20 hours per week (so that the total is equal to 1 year full-time), will she/he be awarded 9 points for work experience? Thanks for answering!

Hi everyone, I have three questions!! I'm planning to apply under this stream in the fall. My work experience is going to be RA/TA only, RA as the full time job. 1. Since the TA work is part-time, does it matter whether it is continuous (for a year)? If it helps, I can apply to TA in the...

Thanks a lot for your quick reply. So what if I take TAs during the summer 2014? will that be considered a 1 continuous year part-time experience then? It will be three separate contracts though: sep to dec, jan to apr, and may to aug. Because I don't get how else a PhD student who has done...

Hello all! I just joined this forum. I'm a 2nd year doctoral student and I'm planning to apply under PhD stream next year. I'm assuming that this issue of work experience and RA/TA is still not so clear. But what I am trying to understand is that how many TA hours one must demonstrate to be...
