C-6 Citizenship Applications, Frequently Asked Questions

RE: Question 9c is confusing me. I lived outside of Canada but I wasn't a Crown Servant. Why should I fill that weird form? The eligibility period starts before I came to Canada. So should I be including the time before I came to Canada and say yes?

What are the visa chances please comment

People borrow money to show savings for visa purposes and once its complete they return it. If the VO suspects anything like, he will reject you.

What are the visa chances please comment

Very difficult to comment on your chances. My two cents would be to work on a strong SOP. You will have to make sure you are sending your proper documents, both of your sponsors will need to show tax certificates. Notarized oath to support will also help.

    Late filing of taxes

Nope. But now it will take some time to show up in your option C. If you don't have any dependents, it's all easy.

    Spouse Sponsor name mix up

Hi, Does the other documents specify last name and first name, or is just written that way? If it is the latter then no worries at all. For the CIC forms, you will use as the passport suggests. One advice - don't disclose information like the name here.

    Sending passport

How do I let them know about the return address, since it will be different from the one in file? Using the PPR form will suffice? I have received received/seen PPR letters, but in non I came across the last line you mentioned.

    visitor visa recommended or not?

TRV has no connection with PR applications. You will have to send two separate applications and the VO will decide accordingly whether you qualify for what you applied for. Having a PR application in process does not disqualify you automatically, see dual intent.

    Sending passport

If I hold a valid TRV, and get a passport request for my PR, can I go to Canada and send the passport from there and expect it to be returned to an address in Canada?

Yes my mom moved to USA when her PR application was in process in Singapore. We changed the address and sent the new residency documents and everything. But the application remained in Singapore.
