I am going to apply for immigration and worried about medical exam results since I was a cancer patient almost 4.5 years ago, got operations and radiotheraphy and was cured. Under medical observations for 4.5 years after theraphy and shows no sign of cancer revisit. Besides, I am unlucky to have athlete's foot (contagious skin disease) but got medication currently.

I am worried that I will not pass the medical exam because I learnt that applications for permanent residence will not be accepted if that person's health:
•is a danger to public health or safety; or
•would cause excessive demand on health or social services in Canada.

Is my cured cancer and athlete's foot a hinder from passing the medicals?

Also, I was fined of littering once in my country, will this become a crime inadmissibility to immigrate to Canada?

I'm really hoping that somebody could reply to me and give light. Thank you in advance. God bless us all!

I don't know about the littering, but everything I've read says that if you're applying as a spouse/common-law/conjugal partner, the excessive demand part doesn't apply. The cured cancer should be fine, and I'd think at worst they'll make you wait until the athlete's foot is cured before you immigrate, if they care about it at all.

Thanks cantor2537, now I feel better for the athlete's foot part.

I am still worried about being fined for littering, is this a crime offence that make me inadmissible?? :(

littering is a municipal by-law in our country and will not be considered a criminal code crime, therefore will NOT make you inadmissible to Canada... just make sure you paid the fine! :)

Thank you Jamgirl for your reply, I had already paid the fine few years ago... glad to learn that this is not a criminal code crime and will not make me inadmissible. I feel better now! :)
