Are we supposed to email the above address saying that our starting date is coming up and application needs to be processed relatively faster?
Anyone knows how to go about this?

I am so happy to hear that the restrictions on TRV have been lifted.

I have already sent a link to my employer asking to take care of this. Will let you know if they respond.

I am not really certain if the resumption applies to us with GTS application.. as I believe we are considered non-essential..
Non essential TRV would be visit visa.
As long as you are needed in canada physically for a job you have been hired to do, it makes it essential in my opinion.

So would one have to be issued a work permit first in order to provide documentation that they need a trv or eta? The statement didn’t specifically say they were starting processing of work permits, since at least for myself, I don’t need either to enter Canada — so I don’t need a travel exemption specifically.
