haha - hardly. Metaphorically, I am simply shooting virtual wads of paper at you through a soda straw. If you ever do have an original thought I would be eager to laugh at it.
Haha keep it up, but you can't change the fact that Canadian economy is heavily dependant on immigration, so no one will stop immigration.

Let me say it out loud that Canada is much better than my Country(India) in many things and I have no hesitation in accepting this truth. But it ain't all sunshine and rainbow here, specially the hypocrisy about equal treatment of everyone irrespective of their origin, when the fact of the matter is the unjust treatment starts at the very first step when you file your visa application.
But still I love my country and have no qualms about returning back.

Let’s say metaphorically the unemployment rate skyrockets to 15-20% , god forbid during this pandemic. Do you really think it’s going to be business as usual for the government to be issuing LMIA, temporary work permits , or SOWP for foreign nationals to come and work here ?? Do you think the Canadian public would not have a issue with that ? You know, the Canadian public that can either vote in a government or not ? Seriously?
You don’t think the opposition would not have a field day if that happened? Heads up, the government is in a minority position
Here’s a hint of the tsunami coming for the employment stats in this country . 500,000 applied for benefits last week, they are predicting 2,000,000 will eventually apply .
The government would be slamming the brakes so fast on any work permits issued to foreigners , I would not be surprised if that’s already not happening over at the ESDC looking at LMIA applications

I work in one of the biggest management consulting and as part of our job we do analytics and solve business problems. And the initial analysis says the impact is going to be far greater that 2008 collapse.
So yeah everyone will adapt to the new principles. But I still think Canada will not stop immigration because economic immigration(not asylum seekers) brings lot of money and workforce into country. Economic Immigration suits capitalism.
Unless Canada turns to socialists policies they won't stop immigration.
