What are my options in my situation regarding Canadian immigration?

Learning French is a good idea to boost your score. Some people here have managed to learn from scratch in 8 months. It's very possible. It really depends on you and whether you make it a priority. But very possible. Good luck.

The French will increase your chances but not guarantee selection. If you were to learn French and also get a Master's or get an LMIA supported job offer in Canada, that would bring you closer to a guaranteed selection.
Hmm, getting an LMIA supported job offer, even in tech, seems to be tough at the moment given how the market conditions are. My best way seems to be learning french for a year and then getting the best possible score on the TEF exam to increase my points.

Agreed on the LMIA. Hard to get.

What I was saying in my previous post is that TEF alone may not be enough. Ideally you want TEF + Master's or TEF + LMIA job offer.
