Hi,

I landed on 11th April, till now my status was Complete after landing but today it's changed to Decision Made, did they really send my Card? It's only 25 days so I'm not very hopeful

I landed several days later than u..14th Apr...just wondering how did u check ur status?..Call CIC?

Hi Everyone,

I'm already here working in Canada under a work permit and just received my PPR.

When you do the landing, do they cancel both your work visa and the new PR visa? This would mean that you will not be able to travel out of the country until you get your PR card? I do travel as part of my work hence need to find out. Read there's a form to fill but that's from your home country I read. But what if its travels to other countries?

Hi all,

Just looking for some advice. I landed on March 13th at Etobicoke and still haven't received my card. I called CIC a few days ago and they thought I might need to send new photos but weren't sure because the office in Nova Scotia hasn't contacted me at all. I've been told the card has been processed but not yet printed. I sent a CSE 2 weeks ago and haven't heard back there either. I was told to call back in a month if I hadn't heard anything about my card. I need the card sooner rather than later for travel purposes so does anyone have any advice on how I can speed up the process or does anyone have any experience with this issue?! I'm now waiting over 8 weeks!

Really getting fed up with the CIC now so any thoughts at all would be really appreciated!

Your work permit will be cancelled. Travelling out of the country before getting your PR card could be a problem. Check this link:

"Permanent residents returning to Canada by airplane, boat, train or bus must show a valid Permanent Resident Card (PR card) or Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD) before boarding."

You would need to apply for PRTD before you come back to Canada by air.

However some people did successfully return to Canada with CoPR at land crossings.

Thanks for your reply. I did see this and was looking for anyone who has some experience in this. Seems like you get 'stuck' once you do the landing.

So if you do not actually do the landing i.e. go in and out the country without under-going this process you still can use the current visa right? It's only until you tell the immigration officer you want to do the landing and hand in the CoPR etc then will they cancel the work permits and visas. Is that correct?

Could you please share your ecas status? I heard status changes from complete to decision made after card delivery. Did they ask for photos?

That I don't exactly know. To be honest my status was on decision made since right after I landed.

I have landed on 31st march and they didn't ask me for any photos i have called cic yesterday and they said my card is went for production on 11th may but I haven't got it yet. I don't know what is going on today is my 48th day in Calgary
