Sure it is. You don't have to go to high end places. As long as you meet the requirements it should be fine.

I crossed the border on Oct 9th in Niagara, i am INLAND and Ididnt received my PR card yet
When I contact CIC they are not able to tell the status
Could you please help me as I need to travel with in 2 weeks for an emergency

So you did a flagpole or office landing? Check your ecas, there should be some sort of status. A line for PR card gets added to your timeline.
I find it hard to belive that CIC can not track your PR card. Talk to different agents.

yes I did a Flag pole and I gave my address too
My application was already and approved and closed there is no status added for PR Card on CIC account
If I apply for Travel document from India how long it will takes to get approval ?

In trouble trying to notify address for sending PR card. Tried calling call centre but thrice was informed abt peak traffic and inability to redirect to an agent. Once the wait time was 24 minutes! I am out of Canada and hence this is tough. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Please note address notification online is not working since ECA access no longer works to retrieve application first. I sent address through case specific enquiry. Does anyone know if this will work? I will be faxing the address form but there again am not sure if I will get any response

Hi Prescot,

Yes....if you send through a CSE then that should solve your address issue, they will change it in a couple of days......

You may do the fax....but I think it will only work if you are in Canada, but you can still try from outside.

A PR TD is a quick thing as far as I know.....I hear it takes about a week to get it, depending on the VO.

Thanks Jong. Will I know if the address gets updated? I cannot access ECA and my application file has already been closed. Is there anyway to know if and when the PR card is mailed to new address? If call centre is the only way to go, I will seek help from friends in Canada. Regarding fax, I didn't know it will work if only within Canada. Will try it out.

Want to know which is the preferred mode of sending the photos to CIC. I have the PO BOX 4500 Sydney address. I understand we have tos end it via Canada Post. But there seems to be some options within Canada post. What is the safest option to send the photos via Canada post.

Hi Prescot,

No....ECAS is not working, so you have no way of tracking. All you can do is to phone the call centre after a number of days(for them to update) so you can check with the agent whether the address is indeed corrected.

My wife is waiting for her PR card and we're wondering where the card should be sent to? The mailing address on ECAS or the address she gave to the officer during the landing process?
