Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

just had a talk with agent on phone. she said PR Card is dispatched on 30th June. If you dont receive it by July 18th, call us again.

its been 10 days since card is dispatched. Is that take that long for local mails?

I just called and the card has been mailed out on June 30th and I haven't received it...normally Ottawa to Toronto is just 2-3 days...hope we get them soon...

Also if they say they mailed it on the 30th, it probably means they put them in the envelope and left in the mail room on the 30th. 1st was a holiday and CP might picked it up on the 4th...so that means today it's the 6th business day it has been mailed out...with all the strike and negociation going on, I guess a little delay is expected... Guess it's just my anxiety talking...

Hi folks I just called CIC now and they told me that my card was sent the 27th June I am in BC and I didn't receive it yet. They didn't ask me to send new photos.

I am on the same boat. Mine was mailed on June 27th and I am still waiting. Hopefully, it will come this week.

Wow. Seems like lot of people whose cards were mailed at the end of June still hasnt received it yet. That is a bit worrying
I wonder if Canada Post will operate on regular business hours or they are still in that grey area of "whether to go on strike or not?"

I didn't get mail all last week, I usually get junk mail 3 times a week (delivered by CP). It seems like they weren't moving much last week.

Canada Post has slowed down and mail has not been sorted out or mailed as it should due to labour disputes with the union. Mine was mailed on June 27 and I am still waiting.

Mine was mailed out on June 28 per CIC call center, but I have not received it by now.

Aren't these cards sent out from Sydney, NS?

If from Ottawa it's ridiculous, since I live in Gatineau (10 minutes from Ottawa) and mine was mailed out 7 days ago. Didn't receive it yet either so far.

Nope. The CIC agent I talked to last week said the cards are mailed out from Ottawa, which makes sense actually since the COPR is also mailed from Ottawa.

This cannot be correct. The PR card processing centre is in Sydney, NS. The Ottawa office is only responsible for PR Visa's. Yet another BS given by a call agent.

I wasn't receiving any mails delivered by Canada Post last week either. But today I got a package delivered by CP, so hopefully this means they are trying to deliver stuff now...

Actually is funny, Mine was mailed on 27 June. Not arrived yet. Even a turtle can bring it faster. It should be something wrong.And another thing that is frustrating is the fact that mine was processed, my wife that landed on the same date as me (25th of April) is not processed and what make it more worse is the fact that the agent told me that it should take another 6 weeks. Don't know for what reason????!!!! Its kind of crazy because I will change my address and now I just can't.
