I resubmitted pictures on March 1st and CIC received them on March 8th and still nothing . called CIC today and they have no updates regarding the pr card.

These photo resubmission and other things are scaring me.
I hope you all get it soon!

Also, I believe 58 days as they say, is 58 business days, which will become about 70 calendar days.
So keep that in mind and re-calculate!

That is a bit misleading. I have checked with CIC as well and it is 58 calendar days NOT business days.

Typical CIC. I am afraid to say but I almost think they lost or never received your pictures. You should have received your PR card long before today if you resubmitted pictures back in March.

I landed on May 7 at Toronto Pearson. The immigration officer told me they would send me the PR card in one month.
I wanted to clarify, and said that I had heard it takes two months, but maybe they can expedite to one month. She said they don't expedite anymore, and I should receive the card in one month. Was she mistaken?

Heard the same story from the officer (Toronto Airport) one month before you did, and till now nothing !

We landed on 27-May-16 and we know now that our photos are on old format. I got now new with 50x70 mm size.
Shall I send them with IMM forms for me and my wife and 3 kids?
To which address shall I post. I want to make sure that they have received it. Shall I send it Canada Xpress? In this case it will be posted on 49 Dorchester Street Sydney, NS B1P 5Z2. or it must be send on PO BOX 4500 Sydney, NS B1P6L1....

I have the same query ..its been exactly 2 months now since the submission of photos but no word from CIC ..I am getting really impatient as its hampering my travel plans..so request anyone who has sent photos to CIC during April to update when they have received their Pr cards

I have the same concern ! I am leaving country on July 22nd and I just hope I will get it before that. Otherwise I have to delay my travel plans as well.

She was mistaken. They do not expedite initial PR cards - it is indicated on the CIC site. Also, the CIC site gives you processing times, which they update regularly. The processing time is the duration it'll take for you to receive your card. Unless the processing time has reduced to 30days, you will have to wait for the indicated time - 58 days.

No you should not, unless you want to cause confusion, which will only make the processing of your cards even longer. If there is a need for you to retake photos, CIC will inform you - letter or email with instructions. Your photos having the older specifications doesn't mean you have to provide new photos.

My family had the older specification photos (smaller ones), but we were not asked to retake photos, in fact, we received our cards last week. So I speak from experience and from posts I've seen by members on this forum. If you go through this very thread, you will see posts by members who provided photos with the new specs, but CIC has asked them to retake photos. If your photos meet the specifications i.e. photo size and image dimensions, you will not be asked for new photos. Until then, you just have to wait.
