Hi Vik, I also landed April 08. But I called CIC and they said it's still in progress. No further news. Can I know which is your point of entry and your address where PR card is shipped? I landed Toronto, Ontario and my PR Card will be delivered in Edmonton, Alberta.

i landed at rainbow bridge and it was mailed to adress which is on my landing paper

Since some from the same date of my landing receive their PR cards, does this mean that for us who didn't will expect a photo re-submission request soon?

Question for y'all who got the card.

Does the PR CARD start date/from date equal to the landing date (COPR signed date)
OR
Does the PR CARD start date/from date begin from the date when PR CARD was supposedly printed/created?

Thanks.

There is no "starting date" on the PR card, only an expiration date.

and I guess the expiration date would be + 5 years?
If you would back date 5 years, what date would that be?

I landed on June 6 2016, so then the expiration date would likely be June 6 2021?

My country's embassy is being a pain in the ass and wants to see the PR CARD before they extend my passport!!
(COPR not enuf they say.)

I didn't get my PR card yet, but my guess is that the expiration date will be 5 years from the landing date (or at best 5 years from the date of production). Other members may clarify this.

Also some other technical questions:

* Are we (PR CARD) still bound by the passport expiration date like we have been for any kind of temporary permits?
* Can we let our passport (intentionally or unintentionally) expire and still be able to live in Canada ?
* How long is the initial duration of PR CARD? (5 years I assume)

Appreciate if a member can answer above questions!

Spouse's PR card was finally delivered on June 6th (landed Jan 19). Am assuming it was shipped on/after May 25th. Child's card is still pending.

Totally unexpected because per the agent I had spoken to a couple of weeks ago, there was no update/no indication of any progress...cards being produced etc. In fact, we were asked to resubmit photos. So seeing spouse's card just a few days after that conversation is a bit of a surprise. Hopefully, child's card will arrive soon.

Not necessarily. Keep in mind different people are located in different parts of the country. According to Canada post, mail from one province to another takes up to 4 days (see their site). Therefore, whereas mail may be sent out on the same day, recipients will receive their mail on different days. So it could be that your mail is on the way.

Good luck

Card expiration date will be five years from the date of production, not five years from the date of landing.

HI Guys

I needs an urgent response from you people. I landed on 7th Nov 2015 and received a request for Photo resubmission on 27th Feb 2016 . I sent my photo's on 10th March and received by CIC on 13th March . Its been almost 2 months passed after resubmission and still I havent received my PR card . I am calling regularly to CIC but everytime I am getting an answer that it is under process . I am wandering may be they missed my photo's by chance . in this forum i am seeing majoriy people who sent their photo's received by MIKE but in my case it is received by some other although I sent my photo on the same address as mentioned on the letter .

Is their any way we can call Sydney office directly , I am calling CIC and the feedback is same . Also when they dispatch the ststus of application will be change or CIC rep cant tell be anything about my application

Guys please advise what to do , I am planning to resubmit the photos but any other advise will be appretiacted .

Thanks
