My Landing experience - Landed on May 28th (Memorial day weekend)
FSW 2014 Applicant , I work in US (Seattle area) and applied as a backup option
Got PER Jan 2015
Medicals done in Aug 2015 and Got CoPR and Visa Stamped in Jan 2016
In Feb 2016 we added my daughter to my application, did her medicals in April 1st week and got CoPr and Visa by May 1st week.(She is US citizen)
While sending Passport second time for CoPR and visa stamping we also sent our new set of Photographs 50X70 mm specs
We drove from Seattle to Canada border , about 2 hrs drive to border. while driving we were checking for CBSA wait times so we switched our border entry from Pacific highway to Abbotsford
We waited in drive lane for 20 min to get our chance, officer asked for reason of visit and we said landing, smiled and said Landing during memorial weekend and said it will take a long time today.
we were prepared for long wait time. officer gave us a yellow sheet and asked to park car at specific spot and told to go inside building to complete the landing formalities.
Inside the building we were in queue for about 10 min and got our chance to interview another officer who took out passport and CoPR docs. She also took our Canada address (we gave UPS mail box address)
After about 10 min she called us and asked few questions on CoPR and asked to sign them. I signed for my daughter. after that we were waiting for 15-20 min and she called again and said all formalities of CoPR are completed and she stapled a copy of CoPR on all out passport. She then gave some instructions for above SIN and other stuffs. I asked her about goods to follow list and which she signed , stamped and gave me a copy as i had already prepared a goods to follow list.
Whole process took us about 45+ min.
On May 30th we returned back to US and same US customs routine was followed.
Now waiting for PR card.
