Whats the best time to go for landing at border?? Niagra buffalo border

Well no one tells u the best time...It depends how many persons are there.I did my landing on friday evening, no one was there.......don't go on weekends....

Hii.. I did my landing on tuesday around 10.30pm. Went to lewiston border crossing at niagra on the lake.. It wasn't busy at all. Took 5 mins to enter US and 15 mins at canadian side..

Hi there,

1/ You can carry a fresh set of photos if you like. But if the officer needs some new photos taken then you have to do it again. It wouldn't delay the process by that much. Probably a week tops.
2/ You will be filling a form with you current address for PR card posting purposes, you will also sign your COPR. Don't worry the officers will walk you through all these stages one by one.
3/ It's not a formal interview, but just couple of questions to make sure you are doing it right. Some for security reasons. Questions might include: what are your plans in Canada? What is your job? Do you have a place to stay? How much money are you carrying? Maybe possibly some identity questions. Again don't worry a bit, they will walk you through all the steps.

1. I was never asked for photos at the border. New photos maybe useful if the card services asks for new photos in the future (after landing) so I would still have them taken. Other than documents you mentioned they also need a proof of funds documents and declaration form of funds. The latter will be provided onboard the plane or at the airport to be filled out before officially landing. You will not need rest of the documents you mentioned but these and more will be needed later in the process (I would specifically recommend taking with you a certified letter of your driving experience in your home country issued by the respective authority in ENGLISH/FRENCH)

2. They will ask for your address in Canada. If you don't have one they will provide a form which you can fill out later and fax over to CIC. Or you can add it online or over the phone after landing. This will not effect your landing but it may cause an additional delay in PR card issuance since it takes additional 7 to 10 days after providing them your new address to be updated in their system.

3. They may actually ask questions about any part of your application. Exactly what they ask depends on many things, including whether or not there are specific notes in your GCMS, what officer you encounter, or even how you posture yourself. I was asked about my destination, previous job, how much money I carried, whether or not I was ever arrested or convicted, etc. If you don't have anything to hide just be concise and to the point and you'll be fine.

Dear seniors/experts ,

1) For declaring the proof of funds at the initial landing via plane , what are my options ? Should I get a bank draft from my current bank , sufficing the amount required by the CIC for one person , that is $ 12,164 CAD per person ?
OR
Should I get a certificate from my current bank , stating that I have a balance of 12,164 CAD ?
OR
What is the most preferred option for me to declare the proof of funds and that should be acceptable by the authorities as well , please advice ?

2) I will be staying in Canada for 2-3 months , so for that purpose , what is the best option for me to transfer money to Canada for food and other expenses etc ?

3) And I should open my bank account in which bank ? Which is recommended ?

Hi guys:

I have a question, when you could see your case in ecas? i never ever see my application in ecas before, since I submit the EE until now. and when i landed in Peace Arch on May 14, the border officer did NOT ask fill out the address, so I asked him where my card gonna be ship to, he said will ship to the address in my file.... and he told me if i need to change my address go Mycic choose"change address", i tried but after i type all information website shows"We were not able to identify you using the information you provided." So i called cic, the agent do tell me where my card gonna ship to, which is my immigration agent office address. of course i can come to my agent office to pick it up when card arrived, but i try to ask how I change my address, he told me exactly same as border officer, I explained the website does not work on my case, he said you need to try again, then directly hand-off my call. ...

Anyone have same situation?

Ecase is updated weekly - every Tuesday

I have a friend he did his landing 3 weeks ago and this Canadian address still not updated in e-case till now.
He call the CIC call center and they confirm to him his Canadian address already updated in this file.
But in online he is not able to see that till now.
Any advice ?

It seems they are working in 1st week of April cards… I hope everyone will get his card soon.
