Landed March 31 at YYC received PR card in the mail today 55 days later.

Landed on April 10th. Changed address online a week ago. Called today, agent said address has been updated, PR card hasn't been sent out yet.

Am I the only one here waiting for over 6 months for PR???
My hubby landed November 2 - Finally got correspondence in April for new pics.

No update on ecas and no communication.

:o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

At this point we aren't planning on travelling until the end of the summer - maybe Christmas time - maybe we will get his card before the end of 2016...

This is very weird. call them right away and tell them that the world has changed a lot since you submitted the photos. its better to proactively approach them.

Many thanks,

Hi this is Najabad,

After 95 days I receive an email for photo retake, I submitted my new picture as per required spacification on the same day, they received my picture on dated: 8th of May, 2016 after ten days I received another email for picture submission. I submitted again new picture on the same day they received my 2nd pictures on 20th may, 2016, but no update till now, no card no update no further email.
Any body submit their new picture in April or May and receivers their PR card or any update please share on this fourms.
Thanks,
Najabad

See below the post by myat. They typically don't want to provide updates before 51 days. You could try several agents and see where you get though:

If you are outside of Canada, please call +1-613-9444000 and press 1-1-1 and then direct to CIC and press 2-3-2-0 and you can reach to agent. Ask for PR cards status.

Try to call morning 8 AM for Nova Scotia time otherwise you will receive "we are experiencing high call volume and we are unable to process your call'' GOOD LUCK.

Hi All,

I just did landing this evening. Everything was smooth. It took 10 minutes at US part and 15 minutes at Canada part.

I have a question regarding the SIN number updating. In the document "Information for permanent residents", there are following instructions:
-------------------------------------
If you have a temporary SIN ("900" number) card, you must apply for a new one.
...
If you were granted permanent residence status through an application from within Canada, you will need your permanent resident card to apply for your SIN card.
--------------------------------------
My SIN card starts with 928, not 900, and my application was within Canada. Does this means that I need to wait until I get the PR card?

Thanks

They may have just run out of 900 numbers now and haven't updated their information for landing. Take your paperwork to Service Canada to get your new SIN. The first person who you register with will be able to advise you if you need your card or not before you sit and wait to see someone.

Congratulations and Good luck!

Hi syedabbas82 my husband is in the same situation.

Landed in November
Requested new pics in April - sent them in April - not updated on ecase though
we are still waiting

Well over 6 months since he landed in Canada - November 2 - it took 5 months for cic to ask him for new pics...

so don't worry - you're not alone

I finally got my PR card on May 23rd (55 days after photos re-submission).

Landed Jan 22nd at Toronto Pearson with spouse.

Received request for photos re-submission by post on March 8th - photos received by CIC on March 29th from abroad.

My spouse received her PR card on March 8th without photos request.

Hi Azeemmet,

Did you send the photo re-submission directly from the country you are in or you mail it to your friend/family in Canada then they send it to CIC?
