Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

I landed on 29th April and basically i was requested for photos along with the Passport. I am hoping that i would not be requested for photos again.

Why did they request for passport? They usually ask for photos.

This morning I received a request for new photos.

Landed March 18 and my husband received his card on May 6. He didn't need to submit new photos.

I went physically to service Canada - I don't think you can do it over the phone.

Yes I went to service Canada got my new sin# but for Canada revenue, child tax benefit and universal tax benefit do we have to update them on the change?

If you have an online account with the CRA, you can look it up. For me, all my history was transferred automatically - so I believe you don't have to do anything, if you updated your SIN number at Service Canada and also provided your old SIN number.

It might be a good idea to either use the online account or call them to make sure.

Well congrats first of all . and I dont think there is any way of tracking your PR card once they mail you. May I ask if you were asked to resubmit photos and if you were, when did you resubmit the photos? Thanks!

Hi guys,

My PR card finally came. Landed Jan 10th, called CIC April 5th and had photo re-submit request. Received in Sydney April 8th.
Received PR card May 17th, little over a month later.

I happened to be in Mexico when the PR card came so on re-entry to Canada on Sunday I had to come in with just my passport and COPR. I never got asked for an ETA (although I understand it's all been delayed now) but I was travelling through the states which is maybe more lax about it.
When I got to immigration in Vancouver the border guy (who was super friendly) mentioned I should have a PRTD but was not that bothered about it. I am from a visa-waiver country which probably helped.

The will probably be one of my last post now the ordeal is finally over. Thanks to this site as usual! So helpful.

Anyone landed on first week of April that got their PR card? Hopefully we are all getting it within this week or next week. I landed April 08 and on Sunday May 29 marks the 51st processing day.

Please advice,
we landed in Sept,2015 and in march,2016 we got photo requests. we sent photos in 1st week of March, 2016.we got cards of whole family till the end of April,2016 except my son.In 2nd week of May, we called and Representative on phone advised us to send the pic of my son again, though he was not sure about the fate of the photo of my son we sent in March, 2016. The representative said i have no record of the first photo in my system but it is better if you send it again.we sent photo of our son following his advice in the second week of May,2015. It is important to mention here that we sent photos both time through registered posts and we have record that it was received.Yesterday we call them again and representative said it is in process and dropped the phone rudely. Astonished!!!!
