Landed on May 14, so know I'm nowhere close to receiving mine. Anyone know how long it takes to be able to see the PR card status on ecas? When logging in for that purpose, it just shows my complete PR app.
It does not show up on ECAS.

Hi all - I just got asked to send new photos despite having given new photos when I landed. So frustrated. Does anyone know how much extra time this will add to processing? I need to leave the country on June 8 and now I'm freaking out.

You will not get your PR card by June 8. It takes at least 6 weeks (or in most cases 8 weeks) to receive the PR card after resending the photographs. You should better apply for PRTD if it is a must to leave the country.

But since you are from visa exempt country, you can definitely travel using your CoPR only.

My understanding is that since they changed the requirements (including ETA), this is no longer true for British nationals. Thanks for the info though.

That doesn't come into effect until September 29, so if travelling before then, you should be good.

Hi, Did you receive your PR card ?
My wife landed on Jan 15th and still have not yet received PR Card.We sent for photo re submission on March 10th and it reached CIC on March 14th.
Kindly share your updates and any clue on when it would come.

In that case how do we check the status on if the PR cards have been sent or if they have requested for new set of photos.

If you are outside of Canada, please call +1-613-9444000 and press 1-1-1 and then direct to CIC and press 2-3-2-0 and you can reach to agent. Ask for PR cards status.

Try to call morning 8 AM for Nova Scotia time otherwise you will receive "we are experiencing high call volume and we are unable to process your call'' GOOD LUCK.

you will only get it back if you are lucky.
Just letting you know, only COPR is needed if you are travelling back from the states in a private car

Hi Guys,

I checked the processing time for the new permanent resident card and it is 51 days. Do they mean 51 working days (weekdays only) or just 51 days in total. I am assuming it is 51 days in total. Thanks.

It means 51 Calendar days. But this doesn't include mailing time from NS to your residence using normal mail.
