Landed Dec 02.
Call cic today to change my address and they said the PR cards were mailed today. Thankfully I am moving in two months time frame and should be able to get the cards in my current address.

They said mailing time is approx 2 - 6 weeks.

Delivery standard for lettermail is 2 to 8 days.

Just received PR card in the mail.

Landed 22nd Nov 2015 / Toronto. A long wait is finally over.

I landed 29th November and when I called a few days ago I was given next to no information either.

But some people are able to get additional information even before they receive the card in mail.

Anyone waiting for the photo request letter ? I was told by the cic agent that the letter for photo request was sent on Jan 30. But still I didn't receive it. Any idea how long does it take to receive the letter

I update mine using link I send.. You use your uci number etc and update / type your address info

Who cannot use the Change of Address online service?

If you have recently immigrated to Canada, you must tell CIC of your new address in order to receive a Permanent Resident (PR) Card. In this case, the Change of Address online service will not be available to you and you must use the Address Notification online service.

So it's address notification not address change correct?

Hey,

PR Travel document(PRTD) can only be applied outside of Canada.

Couple of things you should know about PRTD:

1. Only issued for a one time entry (not multiple unless some exception)
2. Time to issue differs for different countries. Make sure you call the related office and get an estimated time and make sure your trip is longer than that time. Indian VFS for example takes 7-10 days.
3. It's kind of a hassle, so if you can delay your trip or get someone to FedEx the card once it arrives, would be better. And yes Fedex is safe.

Zee

Thanks Zee .... Well i would appreciate if u can send me the link to find out the contact number for India VFS offices !!

No worries man. Since they have multiple offices within India, I would suggest to go to this website and figure out which office works best for you, then contact them : www(dot)vfsglobal(dot)ca/canada/india/contact_us(dot)html

Sorry to be a bit blunt but you must be joking. Obviously an immigration customer care won't tell you that sending an immigration document internationally is okay. This is at your personal risk and that's why I would say that use FedEx International priority. And my information was based on my friend doing the same thing two weeks ago.

hi all please update the excel sheet and please notify us if any one from November/December landers had received the cards
