Hi dears,
Can anyone let me know what other details are required besides UIC at the time of calling CIC, so that I may pass them on to my relative in Canada for enquiry about pr card status.
Also the Call Center number (1-888-242-2100 if this is correct) and further options on the dial pad to connect to the agent.
Thanks

Its now 110 days since I landed.

Canadian Gov. always uses regular non-trackable lettermail.

Thanks for your reply. I'm asking because my parents landed at Rainbow bridge and may need to leave Canada for a while. However, the border service agent said that they have to stay in Canada to receive their PR cards and the PR cards will be mailed to them by courier with signature required. When I asked her if I could receive the mail on their behalf, she just kept saying the mail with PR cards requires signature.

What I'm thinking is if the cards come in regular mail, I can collect the mail for them and send to them once I have the cards... Does anyone know if this is possible? Thank you in advance.

Same here. Last thing I heard from them is my card was sent to production on first week of December and when I called on January last week again they said it is still stuck in production.

I guess, we are the only people who landed on sept 28 to 30 are victim for new card processing system. please keep each other posted if we receive cards.

Thanks,

Hello,

I have called the CIC twice, 613 944 4000 (outside of canada), pressed option 1 1 1 2 3 2 0. After several mins of delay, the agents explains they can't access my file since I landed on dec 02, and I am within the normal time frame. They asked me to call after 1st or 2nd week of march.

How is that some people are able to get the status of their application over the phone?

Should I call a different number?

Or should I frame the question differently?

Please assist.

Received the Pr card finally.
Landed on 23rd Oct.

Made several attempts but google spreadsheet isn't updating.

All the best to the members waiting.

I landed 29th November and when I called a few days ago I was given next to no information either.

Hey bud,

Canadapost sends everything in regular mail and I was outside Canada when my pr card came. My landlord received the pr card on my behalf. It was stuffed in the community mailbox for my home just like any other mail. So your parents can go peacefully. Cheers.

I tried calling CIC customer care today, lady said she would add a note to my file as my case has already exceeded normal timelines. Any idea how long does it take for PR card processing after this? Has anyone been given similar reason earlier and got PR card?

They arrive by regular mail with no signature confirmation.

I got an email yesterday morning saying that my card had been mailed out, and it had already arrived in my mailbox!

Landed Oct 28th at Peace Arch.
Received on Feb 8th.

:D

Landed Dec 02.
Call cic today to change my address and they said the PR cards were mailed today. Thankfully I am moving in two months time frame and should be able to get the cards in my current address.

They said mailing time is approx 2 - 6 weeks.

You guys are lucky. Mine has been in the "final stage" and waiting to be printed for more than 2 months..
