Can one get a multiple entry PRTD visa? I just accepted a position that will need me to travel internationally between US and Canada on a weekly basis. Mostly I will be driving and I understand that it is not a problem when I drive (one can enter using COPR) but it won't be possible always to drive!

The current system is really really bad and needs massive improvement!

The website says usually only good for one entry. And $50 a throw.

When I landed I was told by the immigration that I'd get my card in 6-8 weeks. Stupidly, I believed them and didn't see a problem booking flights for 15 weeks later.

I wish I'd known it was going to turn into such a farce and I wouldn't have bothered.

Also, my problem is that I have only 8 working days in the UK and VFS told me a PRTD takes 5 working days to process, depending on the High Commission, and there's shipping time on top of that.

I called CIC twice. On the first call, when the agent asked when did I land and I said 30th October, he said still your application is within the processing time, so he asked me to wait. On the second call, I told him that my landing date is 13th Oct (instead of 30th), then he did verify all the details and told me that I can expect the card by end of February. Before hanging up, I asked him whether there is some issue with my application/photos as my friends who landed around the same dates have got the card. To this he said, they have sent the letter for photos today and that I should follow the instructions in that letter.

I mean, I couldn't fathom whether he was frustrated that I told him the wrong landing date that's why he used the photo letter thing with me.

I have got a call from my relatives in Canada saying they have finally received the long-awaited PR cards for my wife and myself :)

Landed Oct 9th at YVR, cards received Feb 4th
No new photo request ... No e-mail/ECAS update .. address is still NOT changed to Canadian address

Best of luck to anyone who is still waiting, hopefully everybody will get it soon

Hi ,

We had landed on 14th Oct and had to leave for some work as I could not wait for the PR card.

I got a request for submitting new photographs with revised specifications yesterday, but it is addressed only to me (primary applicant)

revised specs are asking for bigger fotos - 50 mm x 70mm

Should I send on my photographs or for the entire family or would they be getting individual letters.

Please help and respond.

I am not in Canada at the moment and need to plan a way on how to send them - so a quick response will help.
