Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Not one that will be valid when I travel. My flights are booked (I believed immigration when they told me 6-8 weeks) and my point of entry will be Vancouver from London.

Are you from the UK? Are you just worried about the changes in March? I flew back to England at Christmas and landed with my COPR, I said my PR card didn't arrive in time (was 42 days back then) and he said no worries, do I have proof of PR and I said yes my COPR and he stamped my passport and used the document number of my COPR. Wasn't an issue at all.

Technically you shouldn't need one, because you would have your card... risk it for a biscuit that you get a kind person when you land back that knows the delays and ridiculousness of it all?!

I just called CIC and as it hasn't been 105 days plus 6 weeks since I landed there technically isn't anything he could look at (although previously in December they did look into my application and told me I'd receive it before the new year...).

He did say that applications are all sent digitally so they get sent to Nova Scotia immediately, they are not sent via Canada Post... so its strange that someone on this forum said they were advised the 6 weeks was for the postage time from the date we landed to get to the office?! He told me it was for production and postage after processing delay.

Think they may just be making it up as they go along!!

He said looking at my dates I should have it by the first week in March, landed Oct 7, 2015 - Vancouver (inland)

I am the primary applicant and he was my dependant.

Hello Everyone!

I got my PRC today landed on 15 October at Pearson Airport,Ontario. They didn't ask for new photos and also didn't get any email related to permanent resident card. The photo on my PR card is same as that was attached on my COPR.

Few ppl have received PR card without any photo request but to few ppl they have asked for new photo. On what basis they ask this? Anyone is aware of it

I received my own PR card today in Toronto. I landed on Oct 23rd at Niagara Falls. They did not request new photos from me.

The card was printed on Jan 28.

I changed my address and submitted request through case specific inquiry. They did not acknowledge the request but I was able to receive the card at my new address.

when did you change your address? and can you use the "case specific enquiry" form to change address if some one is outside of canada but has given a canadian address?
