I am not an inland applicant but they asked for my son's photos.

The only reason they ask for new photos is if there is a problem with the ones you submitted. I used the old smaller specs when I had my passport request back in September, and these were fine for CoPR and PR Card. A photo resubmission request has nothing to do with being inland or outland, or the change in PR Card design.

When getting photos taken, make sure to follow all the rules carefully. They can reject them for things like your mouth being slightly open, not quite bright enough, not quite the correct head size, something being in the background, etc. They're very strict on these things.

Yes because usually young children photos is requested again

What about you did you get your PR card

Hello everyone,

I've landed on November 8th at Rainbow Bridge, and I'm traveling next week to my home country. I will only stay there for a week so no time to get the travel document.
I was reading the CIC website and it says I only can return by private vehicle, and by land. However, I talked to an immigration consultant, and she informed me that some of her clients have returned by bus and didn't have any problems.

My idea is to return to Buffalo and take a bus/car from there. Have anyone had or know someone who had the experience of returning by bus? Was it a problem?

Another friend even told me to try to board to the flight to Canada anyways, but I'm not sure what could happen... any thoughts?

Guys, no worry about PRC processing times. If you guys want to travel out side of Canada you can apply Travel document, just takes 5 days to received it, no need to wait 4-5 months for PR cards.

I checked the travel document, but it says to apply from the country I'm going to, and I contacted them there and they said it takes 10 days plus shipping time. Is there any ways to apply through Canada?

I'm in a similar situation to you. I'm going back to the UK for a couple of weeks next month. I was hoping I could go to London and get it in a day.

If you are there for a couple of weeks you can get it on time.
If you want it to be treated urgently include your travel dates. I was adviced to do that.

Yes. I got mine in Nov. Now waiting for my son's card.

That will be pushing it for me. With weekends and travel time I'll only have 9 working days including the time to mail it there and back. Do you know if you can present your passport at the visa centre in the morning and collect with PRTD the same day?

Hi everyone!

I got a letter today from CIC about my husband's PR card. They have requested new photos. My husband is currently out of Canada and will now have to apply for a travel document. In the mean time will re-send these requirements. Any idea how long does it take to a travel document? My husband is in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. If anyone has any general idea of the process work and time frame please let me know. He had landed on sept 26th. It took 4 months to hear back only for a new photo requirement. I feel so frustated! He can't even return back now as soon as he wants too.

landed on june 1st, new photo requested in oct, sent in new photos in nov, still no card. CANADA SUCKS!
