What did they tell about the card?

That is what they told and nothing about card.
This call i am refering to was last week..

Dear All,

I am in desperate need of advice, as Immigrant, I landed in Vancouver on December 4, 2015. During my settling at new rented place, I mistakenly tore my client copy of CoPR document, Although I managed to tapped it and it is in readable condition, but Service Canada office refused to issue me SIN, as per their policy they cannot issue SIN based on alteration. They are right in their way, the document which they require now is either PR card or the replacement of COpR. As you all know the waiting time of PR card, however, I have send the application for the replacement of document on urgent request last week. I also visited the my constituency MP's office for their assistance. They asked me to submit all my documents which I did, ultimately after verification they issued me a letter mentioning my legal status in Canada and also that I have a right to do work in Canada. This letter also could not helped me to get my SIN. Can anyone please guide me what should I do to get my SIN.

Thanks,

waiting......waiting.......waiting.......

its been more than 110 days still waiting for PR card. God knows whats cic doing with my application.

I am wondering maybe people landed in Vancouver get their cards much slower.

You'll probably have to wait for your PRC. Meanwhile, apply for a new COPR, as you will experience the same problem when you apply for Citizenship in four years.

It depends on which province you are living in, if you've already been in Canada for at least 3 months you have the ability to obtain a health card... well that is the case in B.C., however depending on your salary and your employer you may have to pay for this in fact they can actually back date your payments to when you were applicable to be able to receive one and you can claim back any receipts you may have for doctors you met with.
I know Ontario does it differently to B.C. - so mention your province when asking for info.
Thanks for your reply Britinvancouver, I have been living in Ontario for last 3 months and some days .

You won't need a transit visa if you present your PRC to the British authorities.

They will NOT count your pre-landing time towards the residency requirement for OHIP. Service Ontario will accept your application but they will produce and mail the health card in three months since landing.
