Hi guys,
Landed on sept 30 in pearson. Called CIC back in December, 2015 and the agent said it was sent to production. Today morning I have received an weird email from CPC ottwa saying my RPRF is outstanding. Does not make any sense. Did anyone experience this?

I also received the same email, I think its a bug and you have to do nothing. I landed in December..

Yeah that's weird - the CoPR shouldn't have been issued without a paid RPRF. Call them.

Called Cic and confirmed that it was a mistake.

I have a question tho, My partner will have to leave country soon to visit his family but what if card doesn't come before then?
Cic said it will take another two weeks so...

Will I have to send the card to him?
The agent said he can ask some sort of documents, but couldn't quite understand what he was saying

Just called CIC, he checked file with my UCI number and told that as far as he can see on the file, cards will be ready by Feb 20th. Then 4 to 6 weeks of shipping time...

4-6 weeks shipping is a massive exaggeration. They say that because nobody trusts Canada Post to deliver quickly, but unless you live on some remote outpost in Nunavut the delivery will likely be much sooner.

What????

We landed on October 13th....
So I assume that mine will be similar as yours?
Hmm..

Lettermail delivery standard is 2 to 8 days (with the latter applicable to residents of Northern Regions).

Yeah, I think CIC just plays it really safe with their delivery estimate.

Right. But now that we have it, let's make sure we meet RO peior to PRC expiry and apply for Citizenship :-)

Thank you for that. :)
Do you know how long it takes to process this?
He only goes for weeks, so he needs it right away if card didn't come on time.

it takes around 15 days and you need to give them a strong reason on why he is leaving Canada without PR Card, its totally depends on Visa officer on whether it can be Approved or not.

I asked a cic officer and they said that you cant be refused. And the duration depends on your country some might take 1 day and other up to 3 weeks
