Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

I called CIC today morning, they gave a new date... also will there be an entry in ECAS if the card is processed? if there is no entry does it mean that they havent started the processing itself.

What was that new date?

I did about an hour ago.

He said there's delay to make cards. (Couldn't understand his accent well)
There is two weeks delay at the moment.

Just got the photo request after 108 days of waiting and umpteen calls to the call center who told us every time that everything is ok and they didn't need anything from our side. It is frustrating that 3 of us got out PR cards with the photos we submitted with the immigration application while my son's photo has been deemed unacceptable. What pisses me off is that it took CIC 108 days to inform us!

Ladies and gentleman, 105 days after landing I finally received my card in the mail today! 8)

Confirmed that it is the new design - larger photo, no PR type listed, and RFID wiring embedded (you can see it in the bottom half of the card if you hold a bright light behind it).

I was not asked to re-submit photos, and I sent them photos with my Ready for Visa package from the old smaller specs. It's the same image that is on my CoPR, so the old specs didn't seem to cause a problem. Anyone that has been asked to resubmit photos, it's confirmed that it must be for some other reason - the new design is not the problem.

SOOOOOOO HAPPY to finally receive this. Now the process is 100% completed and done with.

If I never have to interact with CIC ever again it will be too soon.......

- Address changed on December 10, 2015
- PR Card received on January 14, 2016
- I was not asked to resend photos
- ECAS status: Complete
- no info on ECAS about PR Card

The funny thing is that last week I called CIC to ask what is the status of my card and they told me my PR Card will be processed starting with December 10, 2015 when I changed my address and that I need to wait 3 months to receive it.
And surprise... I've received my PR Card today So, CIC is completely useless!

For those who are waiting, good luck to receive your PR Card's soon!

I landed on 15th December 2015 at Toronto and moved out on 17th December 2015 ... I have given a local address of my friend in Toronto, I did not provide any additional photographs other than those already on the COPR form's... I assume its the case with everyone or am I the odd one out ?

Hoping to get the PR Card at the earliest and I cant wait to move back late this year....

I live in Melbourne and I've traveled to over 7 cities in 5 countries over the past 6 weeks and I must confess ... There cant be someone as nice as Canadian's , extremely polite people...

Did you got any email stated your PR card its in process now or something like that?

Could you please confirm me how CIC inform about the photo resend request like the request is posted via mail or they send you an email for this? Also, if you could share the details how to submit the photo back to CIC and is there any other document required along with photo?

Hello all, a simple question but I do not have other source to ask.

I got my passport stamped with 1 entry permit to Canada. It is only valid for 3 moths and the note says it cannot be extended.

It is very difficult for me to settle down to Canada in 3 months. After I enter, will they give me a document which will allow me to travel back and forth? Because first I have to find a gouse and then go back to pic up my family and some stuff.

Please help. Thanks!
