Still no access to information on ECAS. I'm not calling again as they said my card had been sent to production, but it's not in the mailbox yet.

After I receive the card I intend to fill out the feedback form on CIC: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/feedback-retroaction/feedback-retroaction-eng.aspx

I will submit it as a complaint, and tell them that their communication is terrible and that if they would just keep people informed it would be a lot less stressful. I would recommend that others also fill out a complaint (keep it polite) so that hopefully future candidates don't have to go through what we're all going through. If CIC was a private business I'd take my business elsewhere - they only get away with it because there's no other options and no recourse if you're not happy.

Is it really too much to ask to be kept informed of the process? I don't think this is an unreasonable request.

U.S. green card holders have no tracking as well. However, they receive their cards in 14 days after landing.
We don't need call center agents, who would explain thoroughly at which stage your application is. What we require are case processing agents who would perform service delivery within reasonable timelines.

So is this information true

VISA exampet and USA passport holder get the PR in less timing ?

Is there any case like this

PR processing time depends on the complexity of your case, and the relationship Canada has with your home country and the countries you've visited. If you are from the US and have not traveled much, your security checks will not be as extensive and this part of the process will take less time.

So yes, there is some truth in this, however it's not always the case.

How does this refer to the topic of this thread?

Ladies and gentleman, 105 days after landing I finally received my card in the mail today! 8)

Confirmed that it is the new design - larger photo, no PR type listed, and RFID wiring embedded (you can see it in the bottom half of the card if you hold a bright light behind it).

I was not asked to re-submit photos, and I sent them photos with my Ready for Visa package from the old smaller specs. It's the same image that is on my CoPR, so the old specs didn't seem to cause a problem. Anyone that has been asked to resubmit photos, it's confirmed that it must be for some other reason - the new design is not the problem.

SOOOOOOO HAPPY to finally receive this. Now the process is 100% completed and done with. :D :D

If I never have to interact with CIC ever again it will be too soon....... ;)

Best of luck to everyone else still waiting. Yours will come eventually.

Congrats Quink! You're so lucky. I landed on the same day but they told me to wait until the end of this month. Darn it.

You might get good news in the mail anyway. CIC agents don't really know what they're talking about sometimes. There have been instances people mentioned where CIC told them it'll be another month only to get the card days later.

It's funny though... there was another person that landed on 30th Sep and they received their card early December. So if yours takes until the end of the month that will be a full two months between cards for people that landed on the same day. "Processed in the order they're received" apparently - I don't think so... ;)
