Hi friends,

Quick question, is there any limit in carrying CAD from Canada to India per person?

5k usd / person
And at canada airport no limit but u have to declare anything above 10k.
But i recommend dont carry cash above 10k cad as u need a lot of headache to proof it is yours.
But u can carry a cheque in your name of no limit and u have to declare that.

Was told that some problems with photo & one form . Local CIC office will send a letter .
How long does this take .
Anybody gone through this previously

During landing, other than the pic on copr did u gave any extra photo?

First was end of Dec, then until 8th of Jan , then 18th now fresh new date

I gave an extra photo and a pic on COPR .
2 weeks back i was told photo is okay .
Looks like they messed up on the new PR card photo specifications and we are getting penalized.

Look, the best strategy to bear with it is just disregard it completely as applicants have ZERO control over PRC process.

Separate Envelopes

If no, is it possible the mails come at once or usually it may come at different time.

They can arrive the same day or different days. For example, 3 out of 4 of our cards arrived on the same day (in separate envelopes). We are still waiting for the 4th one.

What is the average gap between one mail and the other.

Nobody knows, not even CIC!

If some family members have cards and others do not, at what point should one call CIC, is it after a week or two.

Calling could prove to be futile as in my case. We received 3/4 cards on Nov 20. Since then I have called at least 5 times and have been given deadlines from Dec 8, to Dec 16, to Dec 29, to Jan 5 to "we don't know what happened with it and we have requested CIC to take action. They will contact you soon but we can't say when".

What is the latest date of landing for which people have received their PR cards? I landed on October 18th and I still haven't received anything yet.
Someone had a Google sheet keeping track of landing dates and PR card receipt date. It seems that people who landed before 10/04/15 received their cards. Is there anyone else who landed after this date and received their cards so far?

Now processing time is around 3 months. You may get by this month end. Call CIC to find the status.
