Not this week. I'll wait and see if anything shows up on ECAS.

Just received an AOR email for my PR Card! Anyone else got that email before?

Subject: Citizenship & Immigration Canada: R*********

UCI: ********

This confirms that your application for your Permanent Resident card has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2015/09/30.

Quink (obviously I changed my name here)

When should I contact CIC?

You must notify Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:

Appointment or change of immigration representative or designated individual;
Decision to withdraw your application;
Change of contact information: e-mail, mailing address, telephone number;
You found your lost PR card - application for replacement is in process, card must be destroyed, replacement application not yet in process.
Changes to your address should be made through our online service at www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/change-address.asp.

How do I check the status of my application?

You may use your 8-digit Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number located on this correspondence to check the status of your application on the CIC website. Please visit www.cic.gc.ca/english and in the "Most requested" section on the right-hand side of the page, select "Check your application status".

How long will it take to process my application?

Processing times vary. You can consult the processing times by visiting the CIC website at www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp.

Please be aware that answering e-mails takes time away from processing applications. For this reason, unless your application has exceeded normal processing times, please limit your correspondence to notifying us of changes in your application.

Sincerely,

Permanent Resident Card Centre – Sydney

CIC makes no sense... same landing day, AOR nearly a full month apart.

@ Quink

Did you apply for PR renewal ? because am not sure why CIC sends AOR for applicant who has landed for first time in Canada

If am missing something , Pls let me know

Nope, initial card. The AOR received date matches my landing date when I flagpolled and became PR.

I don't know why CIC sent AOR mail for you as you have already landed and waiting for PR card.

Because we have received AOR when our application got filed. This is strange.

Also in ecas nowhere we can check the status about our PR card

Maybe I actually will call again sooner then... it does seem weird.

So question to all those who received a similar email - you're applying for a replacement not an initial card?

More than 3 months and still waiting for PR card. Last time I called them and the lady told me that it would reach by the end of January. ???

Anybody knows which day of the week the CIC site will be updated with the new processing time (I know its updated weekly, but the last update is dec 23)

Wife received the same email today - initial card - she did a flagpole on Sep 26th.

@ Diplomatru

Please clarify my below doubt

I have already landed and waiting for PR card. In my ecas, under home address its showing the Canadian address (the one i gave at the time of landing). But under mailing address its showing my old Indian address.

Is this ok? Or Do i need to update it?

They will remove your Indian address when they start actual processing of your application. If you get ECAS updates at all (I have not).
Otherwise, they will mail the PRC to the address mentioned on the COPR form by the BSO.
