Just found an envelope with my new PR card inside the mailbox. I'm in land applicant, landed on October 4th at Pearson airport. PR card was printed on Dec 24 based on expiry date.

I have just called to CIC again..this time the lady-agent looked into my case file and told me that my card had been approved and sent out already, so I should expect it shortly after the holidays))

P.S. I landed on 24 September 2015
