How are you handling tax for this year? I have stocks, 401K etc, and it appears, i am going to be paying tax in both US and Canada.
o_o said:Thank you very much nartcr Unfortunately, I'm not as rich as you i.e. my only income is my job in the US. In my case I've heard that I may not be considered a Canadian resident for tax purposes unless I physically move there. I've also heard that the US and Canada have a tax treaty so if you pay taxes in one country you do not pay the other. Your case seems to be a bit more complicated. I'm sorry I cannot be of more help.

We landed June 27th and after more than 2 months of radio silence, ECAS showed update today, it stays they started processing the PR cards on September 11. The address is still not updated, though, and the lady on the phone says she cannot open my file until Friday (83 days from landing date).
Praying CIC has the correct info and the cards will be dispatched soon.
